Just wanted to let you know about a Talon here.

265K miles, runs 13.1@105 on pump gas with 14b and full interior through a full exhaust and original motor... today it finally happened... a valve cracked in the head. Damn!

Well time to take the old workhorse down and get a head job.

I am at 106,xxx.x i hope i can last that long. Doubt it thou. I also wish i could run a 13.1 thou too.

Thats awesome, I hope my DSM lasts me much longer. Only at 114k at the moment.

My car had 120,000 when I changed the last T-belt

I had 146,080 and the T belt tensioner failed on me.

The motor was untouched and had GREAT compression, it was running great then one day on a down shirt to punch it the T belt skipped due to the shitty tensioner (All replacement OEM parts)

Fock man, It sucks. It was on course to last along time too.

O well. Im a victim of the possibility of any mechanical system failing at any time.


Glad to see your car made it that far. I've seen a few at the shoot out that are the same.

Kind of showing you can drive a car hard and fast, without killing it. Like the racers who keep blowing engines and gearboxes, some drivers are just inept. When that happens, the car's the one that pays.
