I dont f*N get it. 3 times today while I'm driving whenever I floor it my car cuts fuel and I get shoved against my steering wheel, I want to f*n kick my pos to the curb. It doesnt matter what frickn gear Im in, or how hard I push it, but it just randomly does it but only always in boost, leaving about 10 cars behind me almost rear ending me, stupid bullsh* I think I saw the a/f guage reading full rich one of the times my face was against the windshield. anyone got any frickn idea wtf this could be? I hope to god my hard pipes will cure this bs. It couldnt be my IC Pipes leaking THAT bad that I run so rich I hit fuel cut could it? I dont see how. :'( I have the muffle box by the smic removed and a piece of 3 inch exhaust piping shoved in there w/ 4 clamps holding it down (because before it kept poping off and that made the car feel the same except didnt jerk me forward as hard as this does.

I do I do. but i didnt think it was that significant to make it do that :( it only does it when Im low on fuel. its at the connection from the blow off valve to the intercooler pipe. :( or maybe its just a bad BOV. i dont have a 2nd one i know is good to test w/. *sighs*

I had exact same problem. Id be boosting fine and i would get pressed forward. It was the IC piping not securely on the Intercooler. It was okay at around 8PSI but after that at around 10. It would blow itself off the intercooler and launch me forward. check that out.

:talon: I had that problem. it was because i have an MBC and the screw came out and i didn't notice. which then it wouldn't open up the wastegate which then allowed me to "free boost." So it jumped to 15 Psi and was all jumpy and scary like. If u don't have an MBC check out where it would be. ask someone who knows what it could be if u don't have an MBC ;)

i have a MBC. its a generic manual boost controller.

I did, thats why on the muffle box part, where i have 3" exhaust pipe, I have 4 clamps holding it down, cuz it was doin that. but I looked and it looks like its on there nice and hard :-\ :(

Damn. hmm. What BOV do you have? It could be a BOV problem. Hmm Ill keep thinking during the day tho.

You say it only does it when you low on fuel? I have the same prob when I'm down below about quarter tank. Does it do it when you fill up the tank?

no no no.

change your spark plugs. if that doesnt do it then get different spark plug wires.

problem fixed. have fun.

I Honestly dont think his car would BUCK him that hard if it was a spark plug or wires. It would jerk but it wouldn't force him into the front of the dash, my wires were bad when I bought my car but it definately wasnt that rough.

I agree with others that you honestly have a very large boost leak somewhere in your intake system.

Make sure this part is actually secure and go back through your system and double check all connections. Hard intercooler piping should resolve the issue without any other problems but if you want it fixed now I'm definately going to tell you to go through your intake system.

:)

I have NGK Plugs and taylor wires, they were changed back in july/august. and have at least 15,000 miles on them. And that part where the BOV connects to the IC pipes is tight as f*k :( and all my other pipes are too. i dun get it. *blah* even tho during a boost leak test i heard it, and it was very slight, but it was either the BOV or that connection.

If you could hear it then it needs to be fixed. Soak your pipes in soapy water and then pressure test it again to 16-18psi and try to find where its leaking from. Once you find the leak you will have your issue resolved. Because someone once you hit boost your getting a boost leak, that leak is whats messin you over. :)

im about 2 seconds away from wraping the bov in duct tape and maybe the connection from it to the icp too.

Maybe you have a lot shit in the gas tank which cloggs up your injectors. If it's boost leak like everyone suggested, why would it only happen when low on fuel. I agree with chris26969, it's got to be fuel related.

okay i just ductaped my bov and ic pipes and i still notice 0 difference at all. >:O this sucks ass. so what abuot my fuel pump?

p.s. is it normal to run rich between shifts, and to run rich on higher than 8 pounds of boost? (sometimes higher than 5) and im talkn like all green lights rich.

could be malfunctioning. Since your saying theres not alot of fuel in your tank when this happens. Im thinking the Pump cant keep up with the fuel the motor needs. The faster you go , the more gas needed.

anybody else agree with this theory? i wish i could get new injectors and walboro at the same time. it'd be nice.

Plugs and wires have nothing to do with fuel cut...feel free to prove me wrong.
You may need to check your BOV (especially if you bought the TXS install kit), as those things won't hold any boost with any sort of integrity.

Edit: And, for god's sake people, when your car isn't stock...don't put the word stock in the thread, much less the title.
