my 7 bolt has now crankwalked

but i was wondering if the 1 gen tranny will fit
right into the 2nd gen engine bay and transfer case?
bought a 6 bolt engine and it comes with a tranny, i want to put it in as well buyt not sure if it will fit in the transfer case
if you know your input would be greatly appreciated

Yes, it will, but you have to tap it for the tranny mounts.

please give more detail. my awd auto tranny is broke. i have a 91 fwd 5-spd. i would rather go to a manual than rebuild an auto (i hate auto). any and all help is greatly apreciated. thanx...

So, I would imagine then that a 1g tranny will work on a 2g 6 bolt. I wonder if a 2g transfer case is compatable with a 1g tranny. I never thought to get a 1g tranny. I will have to look into this.

Just use your 2g tranny with the 1g motor. its easier to do. And the transfer cases are different. You will have to use the 2g transfer case also. Then all you have to do is alter the driver side motor mount.

I messed up my tranny recently, and I have seen 1G AWD trannies going pretty cheap. I still have the original 7 bolt motor, etc for my 2G. So I am wondering if a 1G tranny will fit on a 7 bolt motor? If not, what mods to make it fit? 1G xfer case?, etc...
