Hey guys, Last month i finally got a set of tires that everyone has been talking about, Well here at least.

I bought the Nitto Neo Gen's In 225/40/ZR18 size

First of all, they have been on my car only a month, And i really dont know much about the tire wear factor right now, judging by how gummy they are, i dont know if thell last that long. I have my car camber'd -1 on every tire for a lil bit extra cornering. Nitto Claims that these tires were made to wear evenly on cars with bad camber. I will update this thread with information in the future about treadwear.

Price: $540 Shipped to my door Discount Tire Direct

Verdict: Right now a month down the road, these tires are worth every single penny. Since i have owned the car i have had 4 diffrent sets of tires on it.

Nitto 450's 235/40/ZR17
Bridgestone Daytona's 235/40/ZR17
Pirelli P7000 Supersport's 225/40/ZR18

And now the Neo Gen's. Out of all those tires, for traction purposes These tires kick ass compared to those tires. Id rate the P7000's in second, But they had a little bit too much sidewall roll in them for me. The Neo Gen's are stiff as hell and will not break traction. I used to be able to spin My 450's and my Bridgestone's Easially In first. And sometimes the Pirelli's But i cannot for the life of me break these loose. Dry pavement is where these tires really shine, in a stright line or cornering one after another. One thing i really noticed between the Pirelli's Traction factor and these is that the pirelli's would grip like no other once they got hot, but if they were cold, you had to be careful. The Neo Gen's grip like the pirelli's did when they were hot, when the neo gen's are cold. I absolutely love these tires now, and not to mention they look pretty mean on the car. I have not tested these in the rain or any other conditions besides hot/cold day i really dont drive my car in the rain much, but if i do i will for sure let you guys know.

One thing i have noticed about these tires on my car. (being in an AWD car, i dont know about a FWD). Is that when going into a corner and slowing down these tires seem to have more of a "roll" to them But when i want to pull out of the corner and am on the gas, it seems like they grip so much the car would roll over before the tires lost traction. I dont know, maybe its me, but slowing down is a bit diffrent with these tires...

If you guys would like to know anything else about these, Let me know and ill try my best. But for now you can look at them on my car :)

Great review...I would of bought the Neo Gen's when I bought my rims, but they were all out of stock, I got the Pirelli P7000s instead, not too bad imo.

hmmm, i wonder what they would do for a FWD guy like me. I am on the look for a good sticky tire. I am going to do some more research on these.

Did you happen to weigh the tires? I am looking for light tires, with the most traction. Though I would sacrifice traction for weight.

Toyo TS-1 weighs 22.1 lbs in 225/40/18

Hmmm, I might just have to look into those also, I really need a good sticky tire b.c at the track i chirp all 3 gears when racing, (major traction isues). Also whats the widdest tire i can use on the stock 2G 16" Talon rims, Is the size a 16x7?

they sound awesome. i know its pretty new technology so how much were they? i was looking for a sticky tire but a friend of mine crashed his ITR with falken azenis in the rain. id like to know how these do in the rain...

thanks,
Jake

the price is in the post

i have not drivin them in the rain

Sorry I must have missed the price. $135 a tire isn't really all that bad.

I actually am only 17 miles from St. Louis. :) 5 hours from Chicago.

well i hate kumho's anyway but have you drivin on these nittos?

I haven't got a chance too yet. My shop doesn't carry nittos.

I normally hate kumhos too, 712s are IMO one of the worst performance tires out there (I had them on my 92).
I'm not going to argue with real results though:
