Allright I have saved enough to purchase my exaust. I decided to go with the RNR turboback system ( If you have any suggestions on other companys please post) only two qustions came into mind.

Do you suggest an internal dump or an external dump? If this has do with anything about emmisions we dont have emmisions here in oregon!!

Next is the external waste gat flange welding. Im not understanding this and was it is.

Thanks,
-KY

You can't go wrong w/ RnR, probably the cheapest 3" mandrel bent system around and it's actually 3" all the way through (I've heard some aftermarket systems neck down at some areas). The external dump is for turbo's w/ an external wastegate. I'm gonna assume you have the stock turbo since your just getting an exhaust now, so the internal dump is what you'll want. Also if you get the aluminon pipes, you'll wanna coat it so it wont rust as fast. I just used some VHT 900 degree brake caliper paint (6 bux a can), it's been a month, no chips and the paint is still shinney.

Personally I've only heard good things about RnR, and I would definitely pick one over the Apexi N1. The Apexi N1 doesn't come with a tubular oxygen sensor housing, does it?

The deal with the external dump is this: If emissions isn't a problem, it pretty much comes down to personal taste. The external dump will let off a sort of raspy exhaust sound... hard to describe. You might be able to find a video or sound clip of one somewhere. Some people think it's incredibly obnoxious, others like it. For most street cars, an internal dump is a good solution.

For the "external wastegate flange welded on" option... if you're going to use an external wastegate, you'll need a flange welded on. If you're going to be using an internal wastegate, no need for the flange. :)

Is this for a 2.5" or 3" exhaust?

Thanks for the replies, you helped me out alot, and thanks for not flaming on a noob. Do you guys suggest that i go internal or external waste Gate. I am gonna do a Turbo upgrade next summer, so just point me in the right direction.

And i am most definteily going with a three inch system. And do you also suggest i go with a SS system, or buy the paint. I live right on the coast!

Thanks,
-KY

If you live on the coast, it'd probably be a good idea to get the stainless. As for internal vs. external, it's a tough call. Depends on what turbo you're going to be using, how much boost you plan to run, etc. For example, if you're planning on upgrading to a 16g and plan to run nothing less than 15 psi, a 38 mm internal gate would probably work great.

So what kind of turbo do you plan on uprading to? And what's the lowest amount of boost you plan on running?

Well if all goes as planned i plan on going with the 20g and pushin around 20 psi! This might sound dumb and over-exaggerated, but im 18 next summer and ill be makin the money to do so and the supporting Mods.i been kinda reading and i guess i should probably go with the external. But it said something like ill have to weld the other one shut or something?????

Thanks,
-KY

oh so you can use an external dump dp? I was planning on getting the RnR 3" 02 eliminator dp, would the external dump make it not creep as bad, i've heard it might still creep a little even w/ the 02 eliminated. And porting the wastegate flapper isn't really an option since i'd have to take out the turbo because i don't have a grinder nor have a ported anything before and I need my car everyday. As far as noise and emissions go, I don't care LOL. I passed emmisions w/ a huge hole in the flex section of the dp. But would I smell the fumes inside the car?

i got Apexi, n1 - i love this catback, sounds nice, not too loud, its a 3" also i got n1 downpipe, i would never go with different catback then that, because it goes nice on the angle not too much as hks hyper...
