New Buschur Turbos - br500 and br580. Does anyone know more about these turbos? It sounds like Buschur racing really likes these turbos. Talks good about them. Saying "Spool up is approximately 500rpm earlier than the BR57" about the BR580.

I wonder who is making those new turbing housings for them or where they are getting them. They are pretty cheap at $995.

looks like he is just using the new PTE or PTE style housing. i don't know enough about center cartridges. to tell if its ball bearing or not.

Knowing Buschur he probably won't give up too much information about his turbos. You would think he would list more information on his website but it wouldn't hurt to try and call in.

One thing thats pretty interesting is that the prices on his 20g are so high now. By doing this it seems as though he wants to push the PTE. Buschur has always stood behind his BR20g for a long time, and there must be good reason for pushing this new turbo.

It will be interesting to see the prices on these PTE turbos once all of the vendors get ahold of them. Buschur is not generally the lowest priced vender out there.

I seen that Victory Performance has one of these in a Ball Bearing form, any others selling it yet?

Looks like these (PTE) use the 360deg thrust bearing not the BB center. They have a few listings with the GT-logo.. but I assume that means they utilize the GT wheels with a conventional center housing. Still $995 is not a bad deal.

Look at the prices direct from PTE; they are mating GT Ballistic centers with their housing and doing the whole lot for $1k and some change.

My friend called them about this turbo. And tym said it is too laggy for street use even on the 50. He tried to push the 20g to him.

I think my friend is going to end up getting a gt12 from Slowboy instead :)

well hey guys i talked to him the other day and was inquiring about thier 20g, and he really pushed the 20g on me. I asked him about the price and he said everyones will be going up soon, because there was a huge price hike. I told him what i was wanting (basically an 11 sec car) and he really pushed his 20g on me. I think the damn 20g is like 1300 through them and you HAVE to buy an external wastegate, you cant even get it internally gated through them.

Ya, the PTE turbos for $995 are not Ball Bearing. Just standard stuff. Some of them come with the GT wheels.

There are plenty of used 20Gs out there on the trader. Buddy just picked up a low miler for $600 (FP/TurboTrix).

Doing the Math:
BR20G (400HP) ($1300) + TIAL30MM ($250) + VPE O2 w/Tial Mount and Dump ($300) = $1850

Internally Gated L2R (550HP) w/Install Kit ($1650) = $1650

I think something is not adding up here.

Turbochargers.com 20G ($825) + Porting (75) + TIAL35MM ($210) + O2 w/Tial Mount and Dump ($200) = $1310

Standard Green $1375 + TIAL35MM ($210) + O2 w/Tial Mount and Dump ($200) = $1825

That surprises me that Buschur doesn't recommend the BR500 for the street. I was guessing it was similar to a TO4E 50 trim Garret, .63 AR T3 High Flow. But that was just a guess.

Doesn't Buschur's 20G have the TD06 exhaust wheel clipped.. so would be $1,045 + $75clipped + $75ported = $1,195 at Turbochargers.com.. so you're looking at $1,605 for an Apples2Apples compare.

Standard Green $1375 + TIAL35MM ($210) + O2 w/Tial Mount and Dump ($200) = $1825

So is a Green a better turbo than a BB Garret GT hybrid? Looking at a $50 diff in price here.

Gotta respect the Buschur mentality of telling you straight up what you need.. and no BS. Though would like to see more info on these turbos and what setup they are meant for. Lots of choices out there. Keep the 411 flowing!!!

I am pretty sure that is the setup I am going with, the RnR. I will be putting it on in one month, so I will let you guys know how it is. They assured me it was top notch, but I can't find anyone that has one. Looks like I will be a guinea pig! He was very good with his e-mails though and provided me answers to any of my questions.

Hmmm... Buschur raised the price of the BR20g $300... & all of the sudden they are pushing them??? Go figure. The BR20g is nothing more than a normal TDO5 20g available anywhere w/ a 15-20 degree clip. The PTE turbos will make 20gs obsolete. They can be ordered in any configuration. They will be available in either the GT ballistic dual BB (approx. $1400) or the conventional center w/ either conventional or GT ballistic wheels ($995). Nobody has these available yet. The only reason that some companies have them was for testing. They won't be publically available till later this month or early next month.

RNR, you should update your site. It doesn't say what it all comes with on your site but above you say it comes with SS Header(3 year warranty),Tial Gate. 02 Housing, Lines, etc. It also says 1550$ on the site. But it sounds like a great deal. I'll look into it.

I'm very interested in the what the header looks like. Is it your own design? I really like the SFP design that AGP has. Also, I was wondering if you have a 5" compressor inlet option because I don't know if that 4" is going to cut it for me :)

I asked about the header too, it sounds mainly like a copy of the SFP. It is thicker than the SFP though at T304LC stainless steel though. I was assured that it wouldn't, but I am guessing the header is going to crack a little in the beginning. Once it gets all the stress out it should be fine though. As far as I know, noone makes the header with a stress reduction process so that they won't crack. If it is regular T304 it is going to be real trouble, but Ryan assured me it was low carbon which takes heat alot better than regular. I know how to make headers that won't crack, but noone ever asks me :p

Exactly what UncleBen said. I read your site when I was looking through the various T3/T4 kits and what I got from reading your site was the turbo alone was 1500 and the manifold, o2 housing, wastegate was all extra.

Jet, I will get you the pic. Just trust me you won't be disappointed. We are just very busy right now and have a lot of other things we are developing.

Looks like a great price and set-up. What I am wondering is, is there an option for a rotated compressor housing or install kit to mount up the intercooler pipes. Looks to me that you will need something. Am I just confused here or what?
