I am looking for the best REAR LSD for my 98 GSX. Any advice/options?
This LSD and then PHANTOM GRIP are the same fricken thing. The springs they are using are die springs that can be purchased from just about any tool place for just a few dollars.
That being said this type of LSD actaully cost me a tranny and clutch. The until beats and wears on the pin that goes through the center of the unit. Eventually that pin breaks and sails around in the tranny until it "finds" its way out. My pin broke and then got lodged between the final drive gear and the case. The case lost and I ended up with a 4 inch hole in the tranny that dumped all my tranny fluid onto my nice new clutch.
They are cheaper up front but in about 1 year you may be buying an entire tranny.
