Portage,
Well, after them sitting for about a month, i ve finally got my factory rims repainted. I think these will do until I get the money saved up for those Racing Hart C5s I ve had my eyes on.! I know she s sitting kinda high, but she was up on jacks for about a month, besides I ll be lowering her soon enough.

Just hit up a 1998 talon front end conversion so i gotta take more pics of my car soon... :)

But the rims will be the same.

Ok, the way I painted mine is this: First, I taped off the lips really well with some half inch masking tape. Then, I sanded them down really well with some 320grit, removing all of the chips and scuffs and what have youif you re doing it the way I do, make sure that you knock down all of the clear coat so that there s no shine to them at all. After sanding, I put the wheels in garbage bags very carefully, to cover the tires, taped the opening closed, then used a razor to cut out the circle of the rim about the middle of the lip. After that, I used half inch masking tape again to tape the bag to the tape thats was already on the lip, making sure there was NO spots that werent covered. Sprayed em with etch primer, then shot em with dupont single stage gloss black. Same paint I used on the rest of my car. Also did some small interior peices black while I was at it, ashtray, coin holder, etc. My dad has been painting cars for some 30 years, and even owned a bodyshop for awhile, so I ve pretty much been doing it all my life, but if you take your wheels to any reputable shop, they should be able to do just as good if not better of a job for a reasonable price. Keep Tuning

yeah that looks nice but to flashy i think i might go w/ a flat color.

guess ill go to autozone or advance auto parts and see what colors they all have.

Looks nice. Get some clear corners if money allows, I think they make the 92-94's look much better.
