Prep: Clean the 1G TB out....MCCC works well! Throttle body cleaning from VFAQ
Replace the throttle body shaft seals (recommended) Throttle body shaft seals from VFAQ
(duh)

Process:
1. Remove UICP from TB elbow. Stuff UICP with rag.
2. Using the Extension and Universal Fitting, remove the 4 bolts holding the
TB on.
3. Unplug the ISC Connector (below the TB) and the TPS Connector (on the side
of the TB, this thing is a pain).
4. Remove all vac hoses from the TB. Then remove the throttle cable. It's
a little tricky, theres a slot there the throttle cable is released.
5. Using the Vice Grips, Grab the pinch clamps on the coolant hoses and move
them off the nipple. Then remove coolant lines, and try to find a way to seal
the lines/nipples. Most liekly it will leak all over and you'll need that
handy dandy Kitty Litter.
6. Now if you have the cruise control cable box still in the car, you'll need
to remove it to get the TB off (and make life easier in general). 3 10mm bolts
hold it on, so remove them and tuck that big box away.
7. Now remove that TB and all the gaskets (if you are cheap, port the 2G gaskets
to fit the 1G TB). ":Wow, its dirty!" Yea thats what MCCC is for!
Remove the TPS with the Phillips Head (try to remember the position its in)
and install it on the 1G TB the exact same way it was on the 2G TB.
8. Now stuff the Intake Manifold with a rag or two. This will prevent any
metal chips from getting in.
9. You will have to portmatch the Intake Manifold to the 60mm 1G TB gasket.
This sucks. So grab the die grinder (no dremels here) and go at it. Don't
forget to protect your eyes, ears, hands, and lungs. If you don't have a carbide
bit, make sure you have a surplus of grinding stones. A little penetrating
oil will prevent aluminum buildup on your bits, as well as help grinding.
Now using the Vacuum, suck up all those nasty metal chips. Do a good job...now
remove the rags from the Intake Manifold.
10. Ok, now coat the gasket between the TB and Intake Manifold with a LITTLE
BIT of silicon sealant around the edges to help prevent leaks. Now slide it
on the Intake Manifold.
11. Place the coolant hoses on the 1G TB (you will have to cut one of the
hoses a little), then slide the 1G TB on. Now reconnect those Coolant hoses.
12. Connect the ISC and TPS plugs, then reconnect the throttle cable.
13. Port match the 2G elbow to the 1G Gasket. Be careful, do not go too deep,
that elbow is thin.
14. Coat the TB Elbow to TB gasket with silicon as stated above. Put the gasket
and TB elbow on.
15. Reinstall the bolts and torque them to 11-16 ft lbs.
16. Now let is set awhile while the silicon dries. This is a good time to
extend the vac lines....just make them longer! If you wish to keep EGR function,
there is a little bit more:
"If you are still running with your EGR, the following will be necessary
for proper EGR. It's simple, cap off the E line (on the throttle body) as
well as the angled line (marked A1 or something). Then with a T, split the
P line to go to where P and E used to go. In effect drive the E line, (EGR)
with the source from P. The problem is that the 1G EGR and the 2G EGR are
sourced differently inside the throttle body. The 2G EGR has vacuum at idle
but the 1G does not." -RRE
17. Check the TPS as the VFAQ states, and adjust as needed.
18. Reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative terminal for 5 minutes.
19. Start car and give it 5 min of idle time to "learn" the TB.
20. Adjust the BISS as the VFAQ states.
21. Go for a ride!

Much of this info is from RRE, I just explain it better.
