I'm repairing the wiring harness in this car. I got a full harness from a 98 GSX. I was able to repair the radio harness, but there seems to be a plug right next to it on the 96 that isn't on the 98. Can anyone help figure out what this is?

It looks very similar to the plug used on the TPS. It even has a retaining clip. 3 wires come off of it. Here's a quick sketch of what I remember it looks like (please ignore the color as I'm doing this purely off of memory since I'm here at work)

Hell if it doesn't cause a CEL or affect the sound of your system it's all good. :thumb:

Yeah I think it goes to the cd changer system actually. That's what I'm guessing since some ppl have this plug and some don't. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't vital to have plugged into anything.

some info someone posted on sac:

It has nothing to do with the radio, it actually VERY important.

Its to the "G Sensor" and no I am not joking very few turbo cars came with this. it is for the ABS system

The part bolts right there on that lower bracket, it is a black square box about 1.5" x 1.5" and says g sensor right on it.
