I am about to fire my 6 bolt up for the first time. I am using a 1G intake manifold with a 2g coilpack, I used the 2g coil pack with hopes that I wouldnt have to swap plug wires to make it work, but I was told I still have to swap the wires regardless of which coilpack I use.

So my question is, if I use the 2g coilpack with a 6bolt swap, do I still have to swap the plug wires? Or can I leave it in the same firing order as my 7 bolt?

you shouldnt have to you have a 97 and up car, i put a 97 ecu in my 95 and used my 2g coils with some mod to the 1g bracket i didnt have to switch them

Thats what I was thinking too, but in my build thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260127 on the last page I had others tell me differently.

I did the same thing, as you can see in my thread. I modified the 1g coilpack bracket to fit my 2g coilpack and fit it in the stock location.

Is your firing order 4-1-2-3 ?

It is either the ECU and/or CAS that determines whether you need to swap wires. In your case, unless you're using a 95' eprom ECU, you don't need to swap the wires.
