So this morn i was blocking off my egr when i pulled this hose lose. It goes on this center nipple of a port sticking out of my intake manifold. I dont know where the other end of the hose goes but i know it has caused my idle to raise. If i stick my finger on it, idle goes back to norm Please help.where does it go. I wouldnt wanna have to stick a midget under my hood just to keep his finger in on my hose. The hose was attached to that center nipple as seen in the below pics. I just need to know where that other end goes.

It goes to your cruise control vacuum box. its mounted on the back of the block.

Still a noob when it comes to that. You might have to paint me a pic. Sorry. Im still in the dark?

I am talkin about that one right in the center(with no hose on it.) The one on the left goes to my cruse control box. the one on the right of it goes to this cylinder looking thing under my throttle cable box. what does the center on go to. Im sorry it the answer is right in front of me boss. I just dont get what your saying.

Ok, put it this way. The three vacuum lines go to the FPR, cruise control, and EGR. If you removed your EGR, and that was the vacuum line that was connected to it, then just put a vacuum nipple on that hole to plug it.

Sorry again but there wasnt even a hose coming from that port that was attached to my egr. Nothing on my egr was attatched to that nipple. I just hit it with a wrench on accident this morn and it pulled the line loose. I have looked in the chilton repair manual and they dont show anything on that center nipple either. My question is why is it there then if there is nothing going to it. I know i pulled a line from it this morn but my car ran fine just idled a little high. Is it safe to say that that hose was just a hose on the end of it not attached to anything and it was just there to let a little air in. I know if i plug it with my finger it idles lower but ruff. but if i let a little air in but not take my finger off all the way it is a perfect idle. Now the hose itself has a smaller hole at the other end . could it have been on there to let a little air in but not as much as it would have pulled without the hose? Or should i just shutup because im a noob and plug the damn thing? I just wanna make sure im not hurting anything in my engine. Sorry for the ass pain.

Well then, perfect answer. I guess my egr wasnt hooked up right and thats why it kept tripping my cel. I didnt have my egr hooked to any of those 3 outlets. So im guessing i can just go ahead and block that one that was suppose to go to my egr off?
