The following stories are true, characters names have not been changed in order to conceal thier identity and to exploit humility
Prank 1
My buddy Chad has an 03' Cobra, LOVES his car. A little after midnight (Mar 30), I placed a note on his car that I had my wife write:
To the owner of this car:
I'm sorry for the damage I caused to your car, I will pay for any repairs. Call me with the estimates. Sorry I'm late for work
-Betty.
I could just imagine he was looking around his car for where he got hit. For like an hour.
Prank 2
After leaving the note, I met my buddy Matt at a bar where another one of my buddies, Jesse was at. Jesse drives a '97 Seirra 1500; lifted, big tires, exhaust, intake, chip, etc.
I had a roll of bubble wrap from a recent move. We wrapped the tires about 1/2 on the passenger side (so he wouldn't see) and taped it in place. We left around 2:00 when the bar closed, EVERYONE was coming out the bar. I get behind him so he has to pull foward, he starts it up and drives off. IT WAS HALIOUS!!! The truck went BLTLTLTLTLTL......BLTLTLTLTL...... BTLTLTLTLTLTLT, all the way to the stop light. Everyone in the parking lot stopped and stared at the truck. I was laughing so hard my eyes were teared up and I couldn't drive. Some one near us, saw us laughing walked to us and started talking. He complimented the truck, but question why he truck was making that noise, we told him we wrapped the tire in bubble wrap. Puzzled he asked "Why?!?" I replied, "April Fools!" So he said, "So he didn't know it was on there?" "NOPE!!" The bystanders friends all bust out laughing as well as anyone within a ear shot who heard our conversation.
It was very loud
Prank 3
Lara was also at the bar, so we did one of her tires in Bubble wrap, and put car wash soap under her door handle. She rode with Jesse as she was not sober enough to drive.
Prank 4
I saw a ticket saying that my car was to be towed and I needed to call this number, because it was considered ABANDONED. I was furious, the car was legally registered and inspected and parked in front of my house.
I drove over to the MP Station and talked to the desk sergeant, I know I had an attitude. I showed him the ticket and the registration. He looked at the ticket and with a puzzled look said "Who is SPC John Loury?" He talks to another Sergeant, who I can see shrug and murmur something. Then it started to click, I tried to tell him through the speaker (we were seperated with bullet proof glass), that I think it might be a prank. He said "hold on" goes over to the phone and dials the number. I could hear him, but not the person on speaker phone.
Desk Sergeant dials numer....
Some answers "............."
MP: "Hello?!?...."
"................"
MP: "Who is this?"
"................"
MP: "What do you do?"
"................"
MP: "What?!? CHINEASE?!?"
At this point about 7 MPs behind the glass start craking up. The MP returns and slides the ticket back to me. "APRIL FOOLS!!" He says with a chuckle.
Apparently Chad got me back, Chad is an MP with a different unit on post. He does not run the road, but I guess he still has some old tickets from his last units.
