They are offered in a few different a/r's (either 2 or 3). Also the weight savings is 16lbs with just the housing (I know you were saying with the billet plate but I figured I would give the exact number) Also I don't think anyone makes a manifold for this yet. I know of a few shops that have the housings and should be building manifolds for these very soon. Finally, they released the V-band housing to the public. The piece will be worth it just for the weight savings. Heck, if they could now come out with a billet backing plate for the compressor cover, we will have a ~20# total weight GT42R.
I believe (NOT SURE) that the A/R is around the 1.01A/R , but it looks even smaller than that from the pics.
I guess it is time to redo my manifold and turbo!
GT40 is included, in fact, I have seen pictures of the GT35R, 40R and 42R Turbine Housing.

We should have GT35ish manifolds available shortly, for EVO and DSM. Same for the 42's once the turbine housing arrives.
As soon as I can get my hands on one I'll be all over building a manifold for that bad boy. I think I just found the new turbo for the shop car![]()

These housings look awesome. First really new and unique turbine housing I've seen on the market in a long time. They look like they'll have excellent flow characteristics.
wonder what the prices on the 30-35r are going to be like..... I had planned on a 3065 or similar set-up... but man these look nice.

HKS has been using the V-Band housings for years with their Signature series T51 SPL and KAI turbos.
Hmm, didn't know that. Well, at least you can get that tech without paying HKS prices now.
