I thought I'd share my mount I made for my palm pilot.

I used the closest thing to a peice of sheet metal I had. Whatever metal you use, make sure it is thin enough to fit between the center vents and dash. I'm not sure exactly what the peice I used is called, I know its for holding peices of wood together, but any sheet metal should work. I put it in a vise and bent it to a 90 degree angle.

Then I put a peice of velcro on it, and on the palm...

Next, slide the peice beneath the center vents.

Overall, it's a good sturdy mount, and I haven't had any problems with it falling off. It's an easy cheap way to hold the palm in you view when driving.

It holds excellent. There is no way the palm is going to fall while driving... Make sure to use two strips of velcro. I'll put it this way, the bracket would sooner break then the palm falling off the velcro. If I want to take the palm off the bracket, I have to take it out of the vents and tear them apart.

Looks good:thumb: I did something similar with mine. Altho when it started to get warm and sunny outside and the heat built up inside the car, the adhesive on the velcro started to melt.... Let us know if you have the same problem. Maybe the velcro that I was using was too cheap.

Got mine done with a little modification:

And yes that is the cradle it's sitting in. I went to crappy tire and bought a cheep power inverter so i could have constant power and be able to log at the same time. The battery was getting really bad, to the point where i only had 20min of life.

So today is the day where I quit being lazy and actually hard mount my datalogger somewhere, instead of just letting it sit in the cup holder.

My question is this... Does anybody have any suggestions on good mounting options?

Keep in mind that I have no center vents because of this thing:
