So i installed a boost gauge a couple days ago and it worked great. A couple days later, i noticed that when i start the car, the boost gauge sits at 0. If I let the car sit a few minutes, the gauge will start working and also after I start driving for a minute or so, it works again too. I took the hose off of the gauge and noticed there was no air coming out of it. So i thought the problem was just a bad hose. Then I checked my fpr line where i tapped the gauge hose to make sure it was fine, and i noticed that there was no air coming out of it either. So that ruled out the hose problem.

What do you guys think the problem could be? The car idles fine and drives fine even when there is no air coming out of the fpr.

Let me get this straight - When you disconnect the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the FPR solenoid and turn the car on, it doesn't suck air??? If I understand you correctly it sounds like a kinked or clogged vacuum line or the barb fitting on the intake manifold is clogged full of gunk and it only is allowing air to pass thru when it's warm.

Also, did you connect your boost gauge between the intake manifold and the FPR solenoid (corrent install) or between the FPR solenoid and the fuel rail (incorrect install)?

Correct, with the car on, when i disconnect the two fpr hoses, there is no air coming from either end.
This is how i have it set up:

There is no air coming out from the either end of the fpr hose. A few minutes of idling, then it kicks in.

Its connected wrong...Your gauge needs to be tapped into the bottom line on the solenoid so it is always reading your true manifold pressure/vacuum. If you trace the bottom vac line it leads directly to your intake manifold and nothing else. If it’s connected after the solenoid, your gauge will only read pressure/vacuum being sent to your regulator.

Here is a picture of my setup.

I don't quite understand where you T'd the line.

Edit: Nevermind i get it, i'll see if that one works better.

Sorry I don't have a better picture...

If you look at the FPR solenoid on the firewall, you will notice three things connected to it:
1: Wiring harness
2: Vacuum line from intake manifold (connects to the port on the BOTTOM of the solenoid)
3: Vacuum line going to the FPR on the fuel rail (connects to the port on the TOP of the solenoid)

Take a look at this illustration and things should make sense:

In the pic above, you will see a white nylon line which is 'T'ed into the vacuum line on the bottom of the FPR solenoid.
