Took the Eclipse to Rockfalls Raceaway on April 15th for some major abuse. After about 15 passes and a few issues involving crappy driving the car finally ran a 10 second pass. The end result was a [email protected] and it was backed up with a [email protected]. There was no nitrous used, the boost was at 31psi, AFR was around 11.9:1, timing maxed about at 18 degrees and the car weighed 2980 with driver.

I am not sure how updated my profile is but the relevant mods to the car are:

Engintecs Built 2.0 (Ross/Eagle, FP2 Cams, Double springs), Quartermaster twin-disk, DevoTuning built tranny, 850cc injectors, Aeromotive AFP, Supra pump, DSMLink, Magnus SMIM, Spearco 2-216, MAFT, Zeitronix Wideband, KYB AGX, Falken Azenis 205/55/16.

Looks good, now you gotta back it up with some more 10 second passes. Cangrats :thumb:

I was wondering when you were going to post this OMG

The 3052 is the only turbo for me, but if it wasn't for Engintecs (Mitch's) incredible motor to support it I don't know where we'd be...

Excellent job @ 2980 lb.s :rocks:

What the hell came out of the exhaust? Maybe it was alot of carbon all built up........

Greg what do you think of that for a street turbo, or would you go with somthing else. Im looking at some of FPs line up.

Sorry to hijack

As a dully-deputized representative of FP (one of my sponsors) I should say, "yeah slap a bad boy 3052 on and you too will be running in the 10's", but I won't. I'm running a totally built 2.4 with FP3's, 1000cc injectors, with stand alone, etc... to name a few of the 10 page laundry list of the best crank, pistons, rods, bearings, and so-on, built by in my opinion one of the best, most anal, perfectionist engine builders on the face of this planet. Definitely talk to Robert at FP, and ask him what would be the best application for your supporting modifications. He won't bull sh*t you and you'll end up spending your money on something you'll be happy with!

nice run, my next turbo will most likely be the 3575 to keep me busy spooling for a while...

where did you get that core? the 2-216 is the exact core I've been wanting, but I haven't found anyone who sells it with rear facing outlets on the endcaps like you have. How much was it?

Thanks ill give him a call, thats a little to big for my needs somthing a bit smaller.

You can say that again.

Greg, you are right ... respect must be payed to Mitch. The engine is definitely the heart of the whole achievement. I need to give you guys some background on the whole history so you can see where Greg and I are coming from. The motor I have has roughly around 25,000 miles on it. I drive the car daily and have take it on long trips. It has always been driven to and from the track with one exception when I blew an o-ring from a Mobil-1 oil filter. The car is not garaged and gets driven in the Minnesota winter. Temperatures fall below zero here. On top of it all I beat the crap out of it whenever I get a chance. Two years ago I put it on a dyno and made about 30 pulls in 100+ degree weather. I have no idea how many passes I got on it, but it is a significant number. This year alone in 3 trips to the track I have made about 50 passes. Last year I raced all summer and I did the same thig the year before. I don't lift to shift and I do not use NTLS feature in the DSMLink. This year I have been launching the poor thing at 6250 and shifting at about 9400 in 1st, about 9000 in 2nd ... etc. etc. So basically I am not nice to it at all. It has survived all that beating for 25,000 miles and still runs strong. I got a few leaks but those are from having a crappy oil pan and some seals just getting old. The car is a absolute trooper.

The engine in the car is technically Engintecs serial number 001. It was the first longblock, so things I am sure things have gotten even better today. When it was build the idea was to have a nice and fast daily driver, not a racecar. The only thing that has been swapped are the cams and the valve springs.

So to make the long story short, Mitch has done a great job and I would strongly recommend him to anyone interested in a motor that will live a while and take a beating :)

:thumb: Mitch is a great guy and I was lucky to of met him early in my "tuning" days when I picked up my HKS's from him.

Great run Vassil. I remember Mitch taking about your motor "back in the day"

And what the hell was that mystery peice?? Look like a patato..........ITS A CaSPIRACY

Slow the video down... Watch closely and you will see a bird fly into the picture and across the screen as if it came out of the exhaust exactly when he shifts to 2nd. Weird coincidence but its just a bird flying by.
