How necessary is having an EGT if I were choosing to go with DSMlink? What about if I were going to add a wide-band O2 at some point as well?

I have no intentions of adding nitrous at any point. I'm just hoping to get away with one less gauge/purchase if an EGT wasn't going to be necessary.
