They are going on a 2.4 so I hope they will idle fine. I am debating on doing the LR 2.4 but I already have a set of Eagle rods. I am going to talk to a few more "people in the know" and if the Eagles will be enough for my goals (650whp) then I will just keep the standard rod. If not then I will do the LR motor. The car will have everything. Already have the Magnus SMIM, and the 1g head is currently being built/fully ported with 1mm+ valves. I will be running a t61 with .68 t4 turbine housing for now. Hoping for 500whp on pump and a lil more on c16.

Actually, the duration isn't that high. 260* adv. and 226 @ .050 (iirc) with .415 lift.(I) and .399 (E). Its the ramp rates that are crazy. There is no number to measure that and that is what makes the cam so "flat". I bet it will sound a little cammy though. ;) Hopefully I won't have to put new springs i it every 6 months.

Just wondering if you got these in yet or when you planned to have them in so I could get your input on them! Thanks!

I am shooting for the end of August to have everything done. Still waiting on the motor to be finished, springs and retainers to get here and a few MIsc parts.

yeah keep us posted on the results. I am still debating which cams to run with my 2.4. I would also like to see how your spool characteristics are with those mods. :)

I gotta say my fp3's looked not even sort of little bit close to as square as those, it was not even close. Those so look insane, I feel so bad for your valve springs

good luck on your build up :thumb:

Are the 101300's pretty much just the same thing as the FP3's? I'm wondering if the FP4's were about the same as the 101400's. Hmmm, being that Forced Performance apparently dropped the FP4's (says someone in another thread anyway). Guessing these would be better than the FP3's?

Alrighty, it's September now. Any word?

I bought a few things that delyed the buildup. A Baer 13" brake kit, a PT67, cast t4 mani, tial wg....etc..etc. Once all of my little miscelaneous parts for the new turbo install come in I will deliver my current turbo/mani and collect the $. Thats when the head ships to Don at Polk.

The Fp4s were apparently dropped and the FP3s will be revised. My guess is that they will be revised to the 101400 grind or a grind in between. If these are the "race" cams I don't see why anyone would want the "little bit less" race cam.

Might I ask what springs you used? I know Forced Performance has their springs that they recommend for their FP3's. So wondering what you'd use for those. Also, those ARE bigger than the FP3's correct? Oh, and they look real nice :D :thumb:

What height did you have the springs installed at? I know FP recomends a certain heaght for the fp3s so I was sure there was a heaight recomendation for the 101400s. my springs are on the way :D

NO height recommendation. I don't know were you getting the info that you need to shim these. They come with a new spring locater seat but no shims or any installation info.

I have the Comp 300's with SI dual valve springs and Manley titanium hats and pucks. it works great, the car idles fine and really doesnt cam out that much. im assuming its the same with the 400's considering that there close to each other

Intake:
cam lobe lift: .239
gross valve lift .411

Exhaust:
cam lobe lift: .232
gross vavle lift: .395

both Advanced duration@ .004 valve lift: 258

I can't believe I have had the cams this long, LOL.

The long block is finished and is awaiting install (hopefully Sunday). I am waiting for my q45tb and JM Fab intake mani to come in as well but the motor should be in by the time they get here. The motor is a Polk built Crower/wiseco 2.4 and a Polk stage 3 head. I am also crrently running a t4/pt67.
