anyone knows why this happens? Help PLEASE

Ok, first to start I purchased my car a few months ago and it has been running poorly, (the problem with the car is that it wants to die, which never does when it is hot and the tachometter dont work it goes up and down and when I step on the gas it goes to like 2000 RPMs and it goes all the way down to ZERO and it stays there till the rpms go down)By now I have been fixed some things on it I fixed the O-rings on the throtle body and checked for boost leaks and it leaks no more, I also replaced the Resistor pack and Coil pack, and the car is still doing the same damn thing, any experts on this stuff>????? thanks in advance

Try pushing this plug in alittle better it could be causing some of these problems

Definitely! Have you checked the capacitors on the ECU board yet?

I already checked the capacitors and they didn't look bad at all, you think I should replace them?

Try swapping in a known good ECU first if you can get someone local to help you out with that. If you do that, you can find out whether or not the ECU is your problem before you go to the trouble of doing it.

OK this is an Update with my issues, remember I told you guys that I bought the car and it's was doing this crap since I bought it so I finally was thinking about the damn ECU and I went and took it out of the car and I found out that, the damn ECU it had was a different part # than CAPS and CAPS showed that this ECU # MD145902 or MD145903 Was for my car and the ECU that the car had in it was # MD128625 Do you guys think that this might be the problem>>???? OMG

Yes, that's your problem. MD128625 is for a 91-94 not for a 90. One of the problems people encounters when they tried this is that the tech will not work properly.

hmm I have new ecu( just got it cleaned and replaced the caps) and my tach jumps also.

yeah both the ecus are for 90's. So time to check the coil pack. I need to datalog cause, Im getting a slight missfire up in the higher rpm, so I need to see what the ecu is seeing and see if there is any coralation between the jumpy tach, and the missfire.

The thing is that I already installed an Ignition coil and power transistor and the only thing left is the ecu?

Do you have a datalogger? Is your car missfiring or studdering in the upper rpms?

it does it all the time, and then when I run it hard and I stop on a red light it wants to die
it does some studdering and missfires. I don't have a datalogger

Have you considered a bad CAS sensor?

If the ECU is getting gibrish for a timing signal it will run like ass.

yeh I considered everything you could think of, I installed the cas, tps, ics motor, coil pack, power transistor and the noise filter.

Hmm...... Check all the sensors... MAF, coolant etc...

If it is'nt there check your fuel system.. Bad pump, injectors etc.
