i think buyin the non turbo model of a turbo car and then turboin it is very stupid and costly. I am glad you are seeing the light finally...sell it and move on to bigger and better things.

ya only took me bout a year half to realize it, i mean ya its nice to be diffrent but not when its gonna throw me in the money pit :thumbdown im hoping to become part of the 4g family around march 05 imma just drive my eclipse through the winter and than get rid of it, but right now all my checks are going into the bank and ive sold off all the turbo parts on ebay and the car is back to non turbo maybe sell it for 3,800. Got 91,000 miles on it but proble by march it will have 93,500 around there. im looking to spend around 10,000 on a GSX or GST 5 speed with around 70,000 miles or less.

you can probably get more for it, maybe 4-5 grand if u start putting ads up from now, just a thought....but thats my plan too, once i can afford a gst/x i wanna get one, but for now im stuck with my little rs

What's been breaking down on you? How much boost have you been running?

Been there done that, let me tell you, your making the right decision, i had a non turbo too, the 4g63 i have now gives me less problems then my 420a and it has more miles. Gotta keep up on that maintenance though! Hope it goes well, i know i poured more money into the 420a than it was worth (all the bolt-ons ran me a clean 16 second pass). I beleive the 4g63t eclipse runs a 15 stock? I know there are fast 420a's, ive seen a few turbo ones that hauled, even they told me it was expensive and im a college student with limited funds.

I've always thought that the NT DSM's were the inferior cars. Yeah they cost a little less and insurance is less but to get the same amount of performance as even a stock GST or GSX requires a considerably amount of money. Money better spent on getting the better car in the first place. I mean you wouldn't honestly buy a V6 Camaro or Mustang over a V8 equipped one, would you? Same thing, if you want to go fast why start with a lesser platform?
