It was a rare combination of a cold night and great traction at New England Dragway. They had a killer track rental during the day. And they really prep the track for track rentals.

First pass out, I launched it pretty hard and it stuck hard. But the knock light flashed in 4th, and I let off and got back in it.

60' 1.732
330' 5.010
1/8 7.675 @ 93.86mph
1000 9.957
1/4 11.958 @ 112.81mph

I knew the next pass would be it since traction goes away so fast on street nights. I turned the boost down since I saw 12 degrees of retard in 4th. I got 2 more gallons of 117 Sunoco. I retarded the timing at 5500RPM and 6000RPM, where I saw the onset of knock, but left the 6500 to 7000RPM sliders at +6 degrees. And I went for it on the launch with a stutterbox setting of 4750RPM.

60' 1.676
330' 4.946
1/8 7.620 @ 93.69
1000 9.904
1/4 11.825 @ 117.55

I changed a few things in the past couple weeks. One was to get rid of that 2.25" resonator in my RSR exhaust and replace both resonators with 3" pipe (thanks again, Otto!). And the other was to install a 3" MAF to turbo pipe to replace my 2.25" pipe. Between those things and the cool air, I think that is where my mph came from. I'm still running the 272I/264E cam setup.

The stutterbox really sounds nasty with my new exhaust pipe. :)

I'll probably head back to the track next Wed for our local DSM club night. I think there is a little more left in it. I turned the boost up a little on my last pass, and my airflow and my steady-state boost went up. I was in the 42 to 43lb/min range all night, and boost was around 24.5psi with a spike to over 30psi.

My car is still 3150lbs without me in it. Maybe I'll get into lightening it some day. :D

nice time :thumb: thats some good numbers for that e316g. good work! :talon: what are you running for fuel? 660's? what about a fpr? any other bolt on's?

That is pretty damn impressive. Is this a stock internals on a 7 bolt motor? :thumb:

Thanks!

I have a 6-bolt with 6-bolt rods and 2G pistons. Stock 1G head with HKS 272I/264E cams.

DSMLink with 660cc/min injectors. 550s were way too small. Aeromotive FPR with a Walbro 255.

what front mount are you running? Also whats your duty cycle with those 660's at 25psi?

83.6% with 660s when I ran 117.55.

And 104% with the 550s! :| That is why I have 660s now.

I have an RRE 18" Griffen FMIC with Spearco end tanks. Pretty puny these days, but it seems to work just fine for me. ;)

11's with 660s n an evo3 big 16, DAMN! I see people on this site with identical timeslips but theyre running 720s n up with huge 50 trims n 60-1 turbos...very impressive! :thumb:

Thanks again, guys! The car is a blast to drive at the track or on the street.

Congrats Man! Awesome time(s). :thumb:

"83.6% with 660s when I ran 117.55." - This is (even more) proof that what is holding me back from getting into the 12's (besides my terrible launches) are my stock injectors. I picked up a 2g mass yesterday and 680's are next.

Good job ShapeGSX!

Nice runs man. Did you run your car at the track before cams? if so what were your times?
