Kitchener,
Well my best friends talon was crashed a week ago. He was driving his rotor was defective broke and got stuck in the wheel locking the wheel and sending him into a spin that ended him hitting a telephone pole then being launched into the air and the sliding on his roof for 90m due to the wet grass. I decided that I should share it here... these were brand new aftermaker slotted and crossdrilled rotors by a very good company. It's amazing they even broke.. built of Forged Steel apparently. BTW: he walked away with a bump on his head and the passenger had a scratch on her forehead.
The path
The Pole he hit.
Front of car and his $15,000 Magnus Stage 3 Race Engine
Interior
Front with hood down... driver walking around not 7 hours later.
Where the telephone pole hit.
Interior again.
Passenger side where it collapsed in.
The trail it left, and where he went off the road.
Now the 9 hour strip down! We completely stripped his car down in 9 hours, the engine was removed without an engine picker, with tranny engine and transfer case as one, Was DAMN heavy
Final Product.
Not much left.
The Junk Inside.
The Motor Lives on... going into another talon shell next week.
Driver in his engine bay.
RIP Talon
Now that you can see even something totally out of your control can almost kill you.
He's lucky he walked away... but the company who built the rotor won't be
!
FOREVER!
The owner said he won't drive anything but a DSM from now on, from what he has experienced he is glad it was made of American Steel
