What are my options for a LSD for my FWD AT i mean is it worth it at all or are there better ways to grab good 60' times... besides lots of practice ;) ...and if anyone with good knowledge about these transmissions could check out my mods list and help me out with which route i should consider for a converter, i'm interested in the IPT custom converter but unsure how it is built...
Thanks
Johnny

I'd do the shift kit, end clutches, and whatever John would suggest as a restall, maybe 3500.
I'm in the midst of John rebuilding my trans with a Phantom Grip LSD insert, with the upgraded "Green" springs. A line lock on the rear brakes is a good idea, as well as maybe drag radials or slicks.
IMHO, John at IPT is the only way to go with AT DSM trans.

You can order the parts individually from his site.
But, I don't trust anyone else working on my trans but John.

True, but usually you get what you pay for. I've seen a local guy with pieces and shards of a Phantom Grip in his hands showing it around. That said, however, I'd still consider one myself, just because of the cost factor as you mentioned. Well, either that one or the BM Tranny one.

Either LSD "insert" would work, they are almost identical.
John got my Phantom Grip as tight as he could with as many washers as he could. He also epoxied some extra magnets at the bottom of the trans just in case.
The Quaife can be used, be some bearings have to be swapped out. When I put a new motor in my Talon, I'll have John pull my trans again, and put in a Quaife and a 9" converter.

how much did the phantom grip install run ya?

I got everything installed at once, so I can't break it down for you. But, when you install the phantom grip, or any kind of LSD, you have to take out the whole trans. So if you're AWD, I would expect it to be even slightly more than a FWD.
The Phantom Grip itself cost me around 260 and then another 30 for the upgraded spring.
