My girlfriend bought 2 tickets for her and I to go to cedar point a while back. We decided that today (august 3) would be a good day to go. So...we set out from just a little north of Detroit at about 8:30 am to head down to Sandusky Ohio. Here is what happened on the way...

Here is our first break down of the day.

Overheated and smokin'...not good...really not good.

So...we wait about a half an hour to get it cool enough so we can drive to the closest sign of civilization. Finally got to this town in the middle of nowhere, but there was no luck in getting the talon running (properly) again. Because once we got back out on the highway, it started over heating again after only a few miles.

Here are some more pics of the cooling process.

So...after about 4 or 5 cycles of overheating, cooling, overheating and cooling we got to the point where we couldn't take it any longer.

And here you can see the talon getting towed to a shop...Its about 4:30 now (8 hours later) and the talon barely gets to the shop before closing time.

(I'm not happy)

And now it sits in a shop somewhere...The radiator needs to be replaced.

O, by the way, we never made it Cedar Point.

I'm gettin it done at a shop because I can't have it towed back to my house (over 100 miles). Getting it towed would cost almost as much as having a shop do it.

I just hope I didn't hurt anything internally. You can see the smoke or steam or whatever it is in one of the first couple pics.

That sucks. Cedar Point rocks. Love that place. I'm going to Six Flags down by LA here in about 2 weeks. Looks awesome.

If it's just the radiator, why don't you just replace it yourself..?? Should've just towed it to your place.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the part explaining why you didn't tow it back to your house.

ummm

dude! you could have got it towed into a parking lot. Walked to a Autoparts store. OR called around to find one and have a radiator in stock. and installed it. Its so f-in easy.

Edit. BTW. that pic with ur chick sitting and the hood up in the air. is priceless in the DSM world.

I'll be back in school by then already. I won't be able to attend the shootout unfortunately. And since your from michigan, you probaly also know that I'll be missing the Woodward Dreamcruise.
