Here's what I started off with: Chrome housing Gen2 APC projectors.

Here's what I did: Painted the housing flat black, e.i. s2000 housings, Bimmer housing..
Fitted BMW hella projectors into the low beam section. Created an acrylic "arc" that lights up orange with LEDs at each end and mounted in turn signal area. Stenciled custom "GST" logo on each corner of the lense (on the inside of the lense) and sprayed with color matched minden pearl paint. The logo near the turn signal is something I "borrowed" from the Silvia s15 headlights. Finally, I trashed the 8000k bulbs that came with my HID kit and sodered in stock phillips 4300k bulbs, which are pure white.

The result is pictured below, and let me say that the above was A LOT harder that it sounds! I spent countless hours trying one thing, failing, and then trying something else. Swapping the projectors was the biggest challenge of all. Because the diameter of the chrome shroud was smaller than the overall hella projector, I had to cut off completely the brackets connecting the lense to the reflector bowl. Then I mounted the lense inside the shroud behind an aluminum spacer to keep it the exact distance from the reflector bowl that was intended. Getting the acrylic arcs symmetrical was also difficult. The rest was just tedious.

The color at the beam pattern cut off: The HIDs are white but they have a violet and blue flicker at different levels:

Bad picture of the acrylic arc at night. It's brighter in person. The arc stays on all the time, and the turn signal bulb on blinks while the signal is on.

I'll get pictures of the back of the housing and the beam pattern tonight. Let me know what you guys think...

No he will not let u drool..but u may bust a nut in your pants.. OMG

Great job and nice work :thumb: I know how tedious it can be. Before I sold my car I was working on a dual projector for the 1Gb stock housing using Saab Projectors. Let me tell you. I hated every single minute of making bracket for the low beam projector. But I would keep putting it together just to see what it would look like and that would be my motivation. I painted the entire inner housing black. I wish I would of finished that headlight.
