I was putting the car through her paces a bit yesterday, recently rotated the tires, changed the oil, etc etc. Wind it up to seven grand, and throw it into second and
BLAM!
The hardest 1-2 shift ever. Hard enough to blur my vision, and I actually head a loud noise from somewhere under the car. Both tires barely broke traction. 2-3 shift, nothing, completely normal. So I baby it the rest of the way home, looked around under there, saw nothing out of the ordinary, and tried again today. Nothing, completely normal. Oh, and the n2o was off both times BTW. I have no idea what that was all about. First thing that popped into my head was synchros, but its not grinding or anything, and shifts 1-2 fine. Second thing I thought was motor mount. The motor is not sitting crooked, or twisting a lot when I rev it. Is there anything else I should look for? What do you guys think it was?
