Here is my latest excursion, a full mandrel bent turbo back exhaust. The downpipe is 2.5 and then right underneath the oil pan there is a flex and from there back it's 3".

A list of materials-where I got them and how much they were:
3 - 3" 180* Mandrel Bends - Magnum force - 25.99 ea. - $77.97
2 - 3" Straight 3' long - Road Race Engineering - 23 ea - $46
1 - 3" Resonator 12" long - Road Race Engineering - 22 ea - $22
5 - J-Hook Hangers - Road Race Engineering - $1 ea - $5
1 - Universal 2.5" DP flange - Road Race Engineering - $8 ea - $8
1 - 2.5" DP First Bend - Road Race Engineering - $30 ea - $30
1 - 2.5" to 3" fitting - Local Parts Store - $6 ea - $6
1 - 2.5" S.S. Flex Section 6" long - Exhaust Depot - 27.50 ea - $27.50
1 - 3" 45* Mandrel Bend - Local Parts Store - $17 ea - $17
1 - 3" Megan Racing Muffler - Megan Racing (Ebay) - $40 ea - $40
1 - O2 Bung - cut from old exhaust - free!
Grand Total - 279.47 (not including shipping)

The Exhaust is all one piece (had a bad experiance with Muffler clamps). Most of the welds are TIG some are MIG. Those were the best prices I could find on the net for the parts, and all said and done I think it came out pretty nice. What do you guys think? Took about 2 weekends to do. Must have been mounted and removed about 7,983 times in the process to get everything just right.

sweet dude i just did mine last night !!! hows it feel/sound ??

^^^OMG that is a badass exhaust pipe. get some pics of it under the car, i wanna see how it cleared the tank.

EclipseTrbo420A - I really like how it sounds, at least from the inside of the car because I have yet to hear it from the outside. As for gains and feel I wouldn't know what to attribute totally into the exhaust because I did just about all of my performance mods this past winter. I see a lot of people go for the straight design which must perform pretty nice but when it comes down to the my car is way too low to have anything underneath the gas tank. I could get away with the small section that goes underneath the rear because since it is in between the tires the chance of it scraping are pretty low. My side skirts rub on speed bumps the way it is, the last thing I would want to do is flatten out my exhaust. Nice Job Airpoppoff yours has a lot less restrictions then mine and must sound awesome.

Remember matt has an AWD so it can be that straight.

You won't get a FWD that straight.

Yea that was pretty air-headed of me to forget about the rear section of the drive train on an AWD and how making the exhaust that straight would only be possible due to this. But then again I have never really saw the underside of an AWD car. Thanks for clearin that up L2RTSIAWD.

Back from the dead.... You're using a 2.5" dp flange correct? So it starts as 2.5 and moves to 3 right away? Anyone solve that question?

On a awd there is only the 1st downpipe bend, straight pipe back to 2 45 degree bends to the muffler right?

Also, i'm trying to get away from being loud and bad, i'm thinking 24" resonator plus n1 muffler sound good? Thanks so much!
