aww sweet man...finally got it done eh...very sweet looking. Props too yah. So did you put on the 2.5 straight pipe or what did you do...i didnt look at the pic too closely. Looks very nice though :thumb:

its all 3" except for about an inch at the downpipe flange...i still have my stock O2 housing so i had to make it a little smaller there...i dont think it will matter much, we made it so when i get a new one its just a cut and weld back in place...its all mandrel bends too...flows nice! also loud as shit but thats ok

looks preaty sweat man... you should work on the welding alittle more... me i like ot make it so that you didnt know where the pieces were welded togeather... than polish it... but its still good.. and yes there an awsome amount of difference between 2 1/2 and 3''
props on doing on your own though.. :thumb:

DS, as always your taste is impeccable. :thumb: Looking good!

...there is no cat....

looks nice man. did you spray paint that shit silver? its very shiny.

great job! nothing better than doing something yourtself to be proud of :thumb:

where did you get the piping from ? looks awsome though.this is my next mod
I got the bends and flex from jcwhitney, it was the cheapest i could find...they were around $21 a piece and the flex was the most at $66...the straight pipe i got from my local auto store...i think the final cost was like $215....saved a hell of a lot of money by doing it this way...and yeah i painted it silver...i wanted to paint it so the welds wouldnt rust...its painted with 1200 degree paint...also painted my exhaust manifold for shits LOL

Was the pipe stainless? I was thinking about saveing up for a RNR 3" turbo back.. but hell at that price, I might just piece my own togeather and toss on an Evo 3 O2 houseing. Also since you have a 91, could you list which bends you needed and how many? So I will no what to order.

Thanks

any pics of how the muffler looks from the back?

nice do it yourself mod yo. props :thumb:
yeah heres a pic of the muffler....kinda ricey i know i know..but i needed one quick and this is what i found...for you guys wanting to know what i used heres the rundown..i ordered 3 90 degree aluminized mandrels from jcwhitney and 1 flex pipe that came with clamps....i got a 10 foot 3" straight pipe from my local store, 3 couplers and 1 2.5 to 3" expander....the downpipe goes like this: flange, expander, 90 degree, flex pipe...another reason for the expander was so i could still get the nuts on my O2 housing..it still turned out a PITA but i got it...after the flex is the straight pipe and then here is where i saved the money....instead of buying 45 degree bends i just cut the 90's in half and worked it out so the muffler would be straight...one of my goals was to use as little bends as possible for better flow...for hangers i just got some threaded rod from a hardware store and cut them up and bent them to hook in my factory rubber hangers...my friend did all that while i layed under the car pretending to do something (sorry kurt) :) anyway thats basically it

Excellent job man! Have you considered making them available for the public? Looks very well made. :thumb:

I also have a homebrew 3" mandel stainless with a magnaflow waiting to go on, small world we have. I am running a cat though  ... thanks for the sound/video, I was anxious to hear what it's going to sound like!

If anyone is interested, Im goin to welding exhaust together soon (1g AWD), if anyone would like cheap 3" or 2.5" turbo back exhaust (no cat or muffler) PM me for a price.... a guess on price would be about half of dss-racing.com. I need to know soon so I can order the flex pipes and flanges.
