I just installed a MBC on my stock 91 TSI AWD that i picked up for $500 with 155K. Tell me what you think of this log. I couldn't get to redline because i was coming up on another car really quickly. I am only getting 3 counts of knock. What is an exceptable amount before engine damage occurs?

3 counts won't hurt you, especially when the logs show that the when the ecu pulls back timing a degree or two it drops your knock count back to zero. Get worried when your knock count increases no matter what the ecu does. That means it's time to dial back the boost.

ok...i just wanted to make sure 3 counts was ok. You think once i rewire the pump, those counts will possibly disappear? I have a walbro 255, but i am just waiting on getting the $ for a AFPR and a SAFC.

That should work, but if it doesn't, three counts isn't anything to lose sleep over.

The fact that your o2 reads 0 before you go WOT is a good indication that it's time for a new one.

Also I would spend my Money on Intake/Exhaust before an S-AFC.

Yeah, but look at the timing. He probably was off the throttle. When coasting in gear with no throttle, the ecu shuts off the injectors to save fuel. You won't see any voltage on the O2 sensor when the ECU does that.

Good Call.
