Pretty much going to turn the wick up. We haven't really cranked on the boost too hard all year, but since this is my last event this season we are going for shit:D

Congrats on the feature. That pic of your car launching is sweet. Good luck getting into the 8's at BOTI. I've really enjoyed watching your car progess over the last few years. Always a good read for sure. :thumb:

LOL yea its a crazy town. Kinda off topic but Watch this video and it explains everything about bakersfield! Ive ran my cobra at famosa a couple times and its actually a nice strip, very well run and they have a geat staff and tons of parking.

Congrats, when did you start switching out parts for stronger drivetrain parts (axles), also when did you change engine stetups?

I'm not sure what your asking, but the engine setup has been the same all this season, haven't really touched the engine all year. As far as the drivetrain stuff that was just recently cause I started to break rear axles and the t-case. Can't afford to be on a long road trip at one of these events and break on the 1st pass.

Just read it, nice. you drive it 3 times a week? Thats so bad ass. I can't drive mine once a week : ( and I only have about 600 take less probably hp then you..

Yup, I can't stand not driving it on the street, infact I am about to go for a weekend drive in it in about an hour:D

last time i knew you had crower rods, crower springs and retainers, and hks cams.

between this and the picture of your car in d-sport i think your ready to take on the world:D

Jake,'

Are you running aluminum rods? How long would they last?
Thanks

I can't say how long the aluminum rods will last, chances are I will be tearing into the motor long before one of them break or have any issues, it's one of those deals where you never know when they will go. But so far so good, Alot of the whore stories you read on the net should be taken off the net. Alot of miss informed information about the aluminum rods. I have had great luck with them so far.

Yeah went down and got that D-sport mag, kinda disapointing in a way since the picture of my car is in the staging lanes and the artical about me winning was on a completely different page and never mentioned what car I drove, just had my name was all. Oh well, can't complain. It was pretty cool seeing it in there though:thumb:

I'm doing some testing on some proto type cams for FP right now, and the crower springs just wouldn't handle these cams, as soon as I get the word on the go ahead I can post more info about them and my thoughts, basically a review on the cams. I can tell you that these cams are just nuts and will work for alot of peoples applications. I am enjoying the very wide power band that these cams have gaven me.

I switched cams back in July, then my 3 season old motor was getting tired and I was building my aluminum rod 2.0L in the mean time, so that motor went in back in June and is the motor that I am running today, she has been very strong this year and haven't had any real big issues as of yet.:thumb:
