Come on weve all taken a piggy pack ride before and if you havnt you need to push the car harder. We were leaving a wedding and manifold bolt backed out and there was oil and smoke everywhere. Simple fix but the free 60 mile piggyback wasnt to bad

Personally that's the one subie I liked. They came with a six and all they had to do was thow in a turbo and AWD and it would of been one hell of a car...

wel its not turboed but that boxter 6 in it makes i think 266hp stock and it is awd but god is it heavy

Wow a g/f that likes fast cars. Nice:thumb: . All I have to say is atleast you don't have to put up with one that wants a friggin' Honduh. When mine said that I was like get out of the car now...I was doing 80 on the freeway...no one says they like Honduh's in my car:p

Very nice. I like how the design cues between the two cars are very similar. I mean, just look:

-The bodies share the same shape
-Same basic design wheels
-AWD.

Much love to the SVX. Clean cars.

Subaru SVX, made from 92-97. 3.3L Flat 6, 230 hp, 228 ft-lbs torque. Most were AWD but they made a few in FWD, all of them were automatic. Pretty fast, but definitely heavy, around 3300+. A great cruising car, they can hold 80+ all day, no problem. All that is just off the top of my head, but I owned one before my 1g.

I <3 SVX's. Let me know if you guys ever break up.;) A girl that drives an SVX and likes cars = amazing.

Anyone notice any (huge) styling similarities?

Sharp cars for both of you! I'm biased towards the DSM, but I always thought the lines on the SVX were gorgeous!!

OT- Winona, MN, that isn't far from me. Any DSM get togethers your way?

164? That seems kind of high, I believe it was rated at about 143 from the factory, but regardless it probably won't do more much more than that. I don't know what you mean by manumatic, other than just manually shifting the stock auto. Although it is possible to transplant a Impreza/Legacy 5-speed into a SVX with good results, many have done it.

The transmission actually has a button to switch it to a clutchless manual. and its a 92 the only year that they made them without a governer

Actually, the manual button is for low traction situations. With the selector in "2" or "3" and the button depressed it will skip 1st gear from a stop to reduce torque to the ground, and wheelspin. It also uses a more aggressive AWD map for more traction. The torque split is 90/10 in normal driving but can be up to 50/50 f/r.

Its true the 92 doesn't have a governer, that didn't come until 94. But I still doubt it could go 164 mph, and by that time you would have the stock speedometer maxed out anyway.

For anyone who wants more info on SVXes, go to www.subaru-svx.net/forum.

Twack, PM me if you want to discuss this more (or just post here, but this isn't DSM related anyway). And I never did say, but those are some nice pics man. :thumb:

I just looked it up 92s top out at 155, GF told me her dad buried the speedo so i figured over 160. after seeing her car and before i got into DSMs i thought about getting a SVX and i had one lined up but it fell through good thing though casue a month later so did the transmission.

Yes that is that SSAC 1g intercooler
