If the engine has a lot of miles on them I would just look into a low mile used engine and swap it out cause it sound like your engine need piston rings, valve stems seals.
I would check if you have water in the oil or the other way around
you can look at use car engine shops and pick up a turbo engine for 300 to 500 dollar
If you are really good at work on car you can do what i did when my engine had lots of mile. I rebuilt the bottom part of the engine getting new rods, pistons, rings, bearings, that help me out to gain a lot of power back and with the loss of oil but do what is more convenient for you
If you have been taking care of the engine you want have to take in the engine or the crank
, def cant change a motor, there is no water in the oil. the oil is always clean. i need an adapter for my compression tester to test the car right? i dont want that thing to get stuck down in there
