I have a 1997 gsx. It's stroked (2.2L), 50 trim turbo, fmic, exhaust, and external WG. Right now all I have is an apexi fuel controller, and a eprom chip tune. I just got a wideband o2 sensor 1/2 installed (be done with that soon)

Internationally I have been to 4 shady mechanics and have finally given up on any local shops.

I was hoping hook up with some local dsm owners willing to help me out. Or at least some very strong recommendations for a shop that won't rape my wallet and not deliver. I live in the alamo ranch area you guys meet in. I wish I could come out and kick it but this car is not running right yet. I have a bootleg boost controller on now that I'd really like to replace with the apexi unit i already have. Again the car has been through 4 sorry mechanics and I really need a good once over by someone familiar with the car to identify any obvious issues. I just pick the car up from the most recent failed mechanic and the car overheated before I made it home. I'd love if there were a shop that wouldn't give it back until it was right. Don't know if those exist so I'm appealing to you guys.
Thanks

If its an overheating issue it should not be too hard to diagnosed. Have you already checked the cooling system? how about doing a compression test to rule out the head gasket? LMK what type of assistance you may need. I would also recommend going to our meet on 17 July, you will find many seasoned veterans that may be able to provide assistance and guidance.

JMS is far from done working on DSM's. Check out JMS Racing on facebook, they just posted a video of a DSM beat they had to ressurect. The problem with many DSM's are they get worked on by "garage experts" or "toon shops" and then get brought to a reputable shop and expect all the errors fixed for either free or included in what needs to be done. Just the nature of the beast unfortunately.

Work took me away for a while but I'm back. Still in the same situation though. I took your advice and tried setting up a drop off of my vehicle to JMS about 5 times and have been getting the run around. I guess they are that busy. So for the time being I'm stuck. I live in the 1604 & Culebra area. Any other shops you guys can think of or if anyone wants to take a look your input/assistance would be greatly appreciated. My Cell is 210-275-5767 text if you like

Completely understand! JMS is a good while away from me but this is just hear say! I heard a few people where slowing pulling out of DSM's because the money isnt there as we usually like to be cheap asses! So its completely understandable!

I also Heard they got a new in floor dyno!
And You are a rep for JMS arent you? I know you from Texas-DSM.com
And JMS is also a sponsor of the shoot out, soo thank you for that! ;)

Glad I could help you out sir. As you know, this is only the beginning of letting your beast loose :)
