Grand Junction, Colorado
Hello all. I recently got a job offer to go work with Halibuton up in Grand Junction. I was wondering it there were any awd dyno around. I'm still new to the Dsm's so getting my car tuned would be a big priority. I heard snows like crazy from some people and others say its not bad. Was just wondering what there to do for fun out there. Thanks

Hey I just moved to the area a few months back. I was suprised to find out that there are actuailly quite a few dsmers out here. Sadly I dont think that we have a place with an awd dyno here but not completely sure about that. As far as fun the only thing that I have wanted to do out here is go to the kart track I hear its pretty nice. As far as the snow this will be my first winter here and am told that its really not bad at all

Aww I hear that my car is down aswell. I'm back down in New Mexico until they finalize my paper work with Halibuton. Can't wait to be up there for good. I seen some nice 2g's up there. I have never seen so many subaru's running around before haha.

Hell yea another dsmer out this way is always nice, I live in Rifle which is about a 45 min. drive from GJ. The snow isn't all that bad out here but since your from NM it might seem like a lot. We normally get about 2-3 feet of snow on a single snowstorm but we only have one or maybe 2 every winter. As far as awd dyno there isn't one all we have is a 2wd in ASF which is the best machine shop around this side of Denver, the owner Joe is hella cool and does some damn good work. There's also a track on hwy 50 which is real nice and they have test and tune Fridays which is awesome. Subies, yea those are huge here as well as the evos, turbo and awd in Colorado go hand in hand.

Heck yeah that's great to hear about a good machine shop. Down here is just an old man that doesnt like anything with 4 cylinders, pretty ###. you can offer more money and he still wont touch it. I'm also looking forward to go snow boarding for the first time! whoohoo! LOL sorry i have always wanted to try.

I hear there is a place called powder horn out here but I usually just went to summit county to ride. There are a few good machine shops around Colorado. We also have Jacks Transmissions down in Colorado Springs. Hoping to get something together once i get my car done, meet /BBQ or something maybe a cruise

6 bolt with .040" over Arias 8.6:1 pistons and Eagle H-beam rods, stock crank with the 7bolt head with 1mm os valves and HKS 272's and springs. Wont bother bolting up a new manifold/turbo setup till i get it broke in and same with a SMIM most likely from JMF

That sounds like a pretty good build, I built my stroker last year but working in the oil field never leaves me time for any fun, I haven't even had time to take it down to the track. So monster what turbo are you looking to rebuild?

Well i would definitely stay with the t25 or the 16g so you can get your motor broken in properly, i have a t25 with about 2000 miles on it if you are interested and im about to do an whole new set up here in the next couple of weeks so ill have a 20g up for grabs too. Im looking to buy an hx35 with the mitsu hotside to make it a bolt on plus a FP race manifold like the one in that kit so hopefully i can find one before i do the teardown on my motor.

Im a long way off from doing much to my car. finally got another job but its at mcdonalds and might be going back to school so I wont have much as far as money. Went from making 18.75/hr job to 65/sq both roofing usuailly made around 700 a week to having to work part time for minumum wage. let me know what you want for either turbo I might try and get some money together. Once things start coming together we will have to try and get something together. I have met a couple dsmers out here Ill be talking to them as well.

It would be cool to get a few dsmers together I know of one guy in my town with a 96 gst that would definitely be down to do that, in this little god-forsaken-hell hole of a town there's only 3 dsms all together including mine and the third dude hates me ### I guess the guy who tunes my car told him it would take quite a bit for his gsx to beat me so we don't get along LOL As far as the t25 I could care less how much I get for it I only used it for break in and just sits in my parts car collecting dust.
