New track coming to the Denver area

Just an FYI for the road course peeps:
http://www.genoamotorsports.com/

There might be a new drag strip later, but in the beginning it will just be a road course.

That's tight. It's kind of close by too! That is close enough to where I can't make excuses.
Better be a nice track surface and layout.

The car I have been building is a show car but I plan to boost it very soon.

I have a new rebuilt 420a with aem cai, apexi n1 catback exhaust, dc header. Suspension I have lowered on sprint performance springs, upper front, upperrear, lower rear, b and c pillar bars.

Once this track is built I'm planning on organizing a large DSM/EVO/Subaru Time Attack event. I hope to see a decent amount of DSMers out there, if not participating, at least for support.

If the price is low enough it might be worth the 8 hour drive to get there...

*sigh* I need to move to Denver.

Come on from here to that track you're only talking 6.5 maybe 7 hours and if driving the dsm's maybe faster. One hell of a trip home if you break something though .

Hell, if you have a radar detector we can probably knock a bit off but you're right about broken parts. Just have to take it easy I guess.

That's great! It looks like it should be a really well done facility too.

Kinda far away though. I realize that it has to be out away from everything, but that is a multi-hour trek from my house. Hell of a lot closer than Miller though!

Far away for some but not others. In terms of distance from downtown it's right about average if you take a look at tracks across the nation that are still open. A 1-1.5 hour drive from a major urban area is pretty normal. Since you're north of downtown it's just a little further away for you. If it ends up being all they say it will be, I doubt the drive will phase you much

People on CO were spoiled with Second Creek and Mead being so close to town but then they closed, which is what happens to all tracks that are too close to a metro area eventually. I'm sure once this place opens it will be overflowing with cars, especially since they plan to keep the daily rental rates close to what Second Creek used to charge.

So how much are we talking? Is it per car or a flat rate?

I'm pretty sure there will be two options - open test n' tune where individual cars can pay for a half day or full day. And also group events where the organization renting the track pays up front and signs up a bunch of cars to help keep the rental rate low for the participants (like NASA, the BMW club, etc).

I know Pueblo charges about $100-125 for a full day of test n' tune and Second Creek might have bee a little more expensive (I never got the chance to drive it). It's still very early on to guess on pricing for the new track but I know that they're working to keep pricing very competitive in terms of other tracks in the area. I just know that some people expect it to be very expensive compared to what they're used to paying just because the facility will be new, but that will very likely not be the case.

Count me in, all the way from out here. I still think we should have a Rocky Mountain Region meet-up at Miller though.
