South Dakota meet weekend of Sept. 18th! Join us for local get together!

A meet in South Dakota?? That's right! The first annual (at least right John?) South Dakota meet will be held in Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 18th. This is not offically a meet, but more of a get together for some local DSMers (and surrounding states) to get to know the crowd and have a good time. Plans are not made yet so any suggestions will be considered. What I was thinking:

1. Meet around 10AM at a local parking lot then cruise over to a park (I have a good idea of which park it will be held at) and get together for some lunch. We could grill burgers etc. I do not know if it will be a bring your own or what yet but we will see.

2. 12 or 1PM: After lunch we would follow to Marion, South Dakota for a day at Thunder Valley Raceway (1/4 mile track).

3. 7:30 est: Evening hours back to Sioux Falls stopping by a local restrurant for something to eat.

4. 9pm - whenever: Cruise the town until your girlfriend in the passenger seat is tired.


We are hoping for a good turnout and anybody is welcome to join us! If you have any suggestions or ideas please post them here or PM me or member jpape.

By the way, we will be expecting display tags in the corner of your windshield with your tuner's member name wrote on it

sounds good to me, i got friday and saturday off from work, so maybe after school on friday, me and john can wash our cars up good and get them looking good for saturday, then i think me and john would drive up separate... i dont mind bringing some burgers or buns or chips or something... i guess i do have some spare money laying around somewhere..but yeah, that should be about it, you can add me to the list of ppl attending..

I guess if i have to hang out iwht you guys ill be there I think everyone shoudl bring what there going to drink and eat. That way no one is responsible for anyone else. Zach and I could bring some pop and chip for sure. We need more interest to make this whole deal worth while. Brandon, I will call you in the next few days and get rock solid schedule set up so we can get this thing rolling. If you got friends have them bring there cars also. DSM or not that way we have a larger turn out which equals more fun.

Sounds great guys. Yeah I have some more friends that will defiantly go along. 1 guy in a 2G GSX and a friend I go to school with will be there. I'm sure tuner's member Shifty could show up.

Also as far as non-DSMs I could get quite a group for example (friends vehicles)
5.0 Mustang (year unknown but a fox? body)
CRX (you might be impressed at this honda)
CRX's brother in his EVO 8
88 Camaro (sorry slow but good guy)


Anyways I know a lot more on top of that. John, just give me a call like you said and we will smooth it out. I requested it off from work so it SHOULD be okay. Zach, I got your PM also and I am getting back to you I have just been so busy the last few days but I will I promise! Congrats on getting your DSM by the way

i was there today and only saw 1 dsmer. a black 95 eagle talon tsi awd, with a front mount and exhaust (prolly more) and he was running 13's

my car broke the tranny so i couldnt drag this time
