I can have a good deal on one and would like some input from DSM guy's.

Before you say, just another Honda, I would like solid details from people than actually track the car. (Why in the road and autocross section)

I'm not saying that I will not race the talon but I think it would be ALSO a good performance FWD for track days.

I've read numerous reviews and it is very surprising.

Tell me more...

no right hand drive in japan. someone did a conversion

they are good track cars.. my friend tracks his, and says there is a lot of body roll so chassis stiffness is a biggy.

but it the motor is in good condition you could run it all day on the track with no issues..

plus there is always the chance of it getting stolen that's why i never got into the honda game, and DSM is better anyways LOL

if you buy it.. deff do the jdm headlight conversion, and mugen front lip :) looks 10x better

A friend of mine had one I liked it but it wasnt that fast.It hanndled pretty good but he had lowering springs but I HATED the sound when it hit VTEC! It was all raspy and annoying and shit but that was probably just his exhast setup....Anyways my DSM beat the shit out of it 10 times out of 10 but I like the way the integra looks. Also its suprising how much room there was in the backseat vs my 2g

the right hand drive are jdm and are imported only and have a different front end, the usdm version is left hand drive. i wouldn't like to have itr because you can't park it anywhere because it will get stolen asap LOL. if you do manage to get it install a kill switch with a gps alarm system and protect your investment ; )

a honda/ acura is just as upgradeable as dsm its all in the wallet now in days ; ) even though a fwd with high traction tires or drag radials and lsd tranny i wouldn't underestimate it. k series all motor with itbs or turbo is the shit now.

heh dont get me started about how they get stolen, before i was actually into cars, my first 3 cars were hondas, mom gave me her 88 civic wagon ( technicaly i borrowed it an never gave it back LOL) was a good car till i blew it up, then with my first job bought me a 95 bubble, or hatchback for $1500 it was automatic, all stock dx model was the base, 2nd day i had it was gone, i was like wtf wheres the broken glass ( before i knew how they could be stolen) so then i a bought a 92 accord blew that up, 30 days after my bubble getting stolen i got it back, even with a full tank a gas, guess hey were using it to get around, finaly i wrecked that one. so i say no more hondas for me, oh forgot to say that the bubble had gotten stolen again before i wrecked it but got it back that night

Any of you tried it on the track. My friend got one and a few others and they are quite fast on track and very reliable. Also there pushing good times, gotta love seat time without any issues.

I have an indoor garage so it'S a bit more theive proof. I think the whole type-r thing passs a bit and now there tripping on the K20...

Those are the better of the 90's honda/acuras, the only car I would take over that is any Prelude.
Honda's are great but they aren't as good as a dsm performancewise imo, FWD being the limiting factor.

Now i know tons about honda, dont bullshit me about it being a different series engine. The only way I would consider a honda even slightly competative vs a DSM would be if it had 350hp+ and every supporting mod, well tuned, tracbar setup, as well as a good set of big rubber in the front.

Wheelspin sucks, that's why I don't drive a honda.

I remember reading in a tuner magazine or something the Integra Type R being called, "The best handling fwd car ever." I've never driven a Type R personally, but I have driven a GSR, which as far as I know has the same handling components, and it did handle pretty damn good. If your talking about getting it in addition to the DSM, I would do it. I wouldn't trade the TSi for it though.

IMO if its a good deal and DEFFINATLY pick that baby

if its BONE STOCK DONT do anything to it, because that is going to be a high priced collector one day(reason being it is the championship white version, and only produced in 1997)

if its modded then have fun with it, go balls out

I wouldn't get a honda ever! They are the most stole car pretty much since people swear they are the fastest cars put on this earth! haha Plus ## getting a type R dude yea if u get it really what out because its a great change it might be stolen. I live in Philadelphia and i know some people that steal honda and they pretty much take them ### sum one they know gave them a hook up on the master keys for pretty much all and any honda n acrua. They are nice but i dont know if ill ever get one ill b to scared of it been gone half the time haha

It's almost stock, konis at 4 corners, filter, not much. Very clean.

I'm going to see on sunday if the deal can work, it's in fact a trade for my civic+ cash...

Like I see not much owners of the car here.... it's okay, I'm anxious to try it.

I've never driven an ITR, but I've driven a few Civics and Accords, and they are incredibly handling cars, and very fun to drive. Very reliable and parts are plentiful. You are not going to be disappointed with it.

If you can get a good deal on it, I would definitely get it. Just make sure you put lots and lots of theft insurance on it.

The USDM ITR is no slouch, however they weigh a lot, its curb weight is like 2650 or so, but with 195 hp it gets up and goes. Unlike our cars they lack torque, but that is caused by the long stroke and small bore. It's fun to rev to 8.5k on a car that is reliable enough to be your daily driver. The factory LSD is a good feature too, helps them track better for autoX. That's a +1 for the civic + cash trade.

I've owned a 93 gsr until i sold it and i actually miss it.
Handles great but cant compare to a 97 type r since i drove my buddy 2000 type r. I say do the trade your civic plus cash you wont be disappointed.

wow a 93 gsr thats rare! and id go for the itr i came to dsm's from hondas and i miss my civic now and again until i get in my tsi and hit 20psi then its love all over again...

The Integra Type R is known for having the best handling of any stock car. If anyone says their handling sucks I say they are retarded.

a stock itr is not very impressive i been in itr swaped civic hatch and a real jdm rhd itr and it didn't impress me i blew one away with my built ls vtec civic hatchback eg all motor like by 5 car lenghts in a 1/4 mile
