It was a pretty wild weekend. The hauler, well.....Going through New Orleans during Mardi Gras no less had some issues up front on the drivers side. I had to get on the brakes pretty hard one time due to a guy cutting in front of me, and the truck jerked violently to the right. I pulled off onto a service road and saw a Firestone about 2 blocks up the street. So I dropped the trailer in a Toys R Us parking lot (plenty of lighting) and headed towards the shop. When I turned the wheel to turn left into the shop, the entire truck slammed to the pavment to the left. The left front wheel had tucked under the truck. After they got it up on some jacks in the middle of the street, they noticed that ALL 4 ball joint bolts which basically holds the wheel assembly onto the truck were gone and the pulled away from the A arm on the truck. Everyone there kept telling me how lucky I was that this did not happen on the freeway at speed or I would most likely not be typing this post to you right now.
So the shop here locally now has some MAJOR, MAJOR explaining to do seeing how ALL the ball joints and bolts were replaced by them no more than 4 months ago. Needless to say that scared me pretty good heading over there.
As far as the event, I finished 2nd again to the mustang and blew any chance of winning the points title for the class. If I could just get past him on the starts, I am faster than him. Just wasnt meant to be I guess. However, I pretty much locked up finishing on the podium overall for the season. So I am pretty excited about that one in my rookie season here. Now with the final round coming up in about 4 weeks, we will see where on the podium it will be.
Yeah, sorry about the whole nice weather deal we have done here How did your ice race go this weekend? I will rub it in more for you. It was in the lower 80's on Saturday during the event

They only came to the lapping day/practice sessions the day before. They did not have cages in their cars so they could not race wheel to wheel with us. From what I saw, they did rather well. They did not appear to have near enough suspension work done so they were all over the place in turns, but they held their own there.
If you go to MyLaps.com || powered by AMB transponders and search GBRS, you will see all the events up until this round last weekend. Practice, Qualifying, Heat Race & Feature race overalls are listed there by classes. I also have them on my WEBSITE but just for my class though.

No problem Andy. Car is holding up great. Needs new front brake pads, but other than that, GREAT !!! Ordering a Forced Performance Manifold today so hopefully it will be shipped and installed by the final event. Then start to save up some $$$$$$ for all the goodies in the off-season. Looking to get it to about 280 WHP, should be nice then.

^^^^^^ Yes sir. Trying to get up with Aniel right now. Looks to be a really good cast manifold and for the $$$$, cant beat it you know? Plus, it will go right onto the EvoIII 16G in the off-season as well. No brainer for me.

Yup, I couldn't pass it up with their last group buy. I have not ran it yet, still getting the car all together. Should be receiving some parts today from extremepsi and I'll be taking off work tomorrow to finish up with the car.

HaHaHa....I just placed an order with extreme myself. For the bulid in the off-season. Small things, but they add up quickly as you well know Andy. New Rod Bearings, Main Bearing and Rod Bolts. Doing a little piece by piece till we get to the "bigger" (expensive) items later this summer. Little bit at the time until it is time to open her up and operate. Just want to do it once and be done with it you know?
I already have New -
Eagle Rods
Top Line Pistons
Cometic Head Gasket
ARP Main & Head Bolts
And with the new order -
Top Line Rod Bearings
Top Line Main Bearings
ARP Rod Bolts
BIGMIXX - Thanks for the kind words on the writeup, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, missed out again, but it could be worse. At least I am still racing and in the hunt for a podium finish.
