Looking For Good Informative/Schedules/Organization sites for Auto-x and Road Race

Im a total beginner when it comes to this area ... Next year I am dreaming of maybe competing in a couple of races ...what I am requesting is any site (url) from any organizations ... schedules ... or even informative sites... I searched our site... and yeah I did a google and came up with lots ...but why I am requesting is kinda for the insiders benefit that you guys might have...

I would like to learn a bit more about auto-x and road racing in general and any of these sites you guys use would help me out alot...and maybe other DSM'ers who would like to compete or learn a bit more.... schedules would be awesome so that I could check one out as a observer way before I ever thought about competition

Here is a good start for you regarding road racing, along with the schedule for NASA's Ohio region.
It is a thread started by Greg C., that discusses the subject, and there are a number of members in the Ohio area, that subscribed to it.
