hey,

i bought a 95 talon tsi awd a few months ago, i love it except it's been sitting in my driveway for 3 weeks now and wont start  . when it was runing, the coil packs were bad so i ordered new ones but the car died before i could put them on. well, i got them on there but the car is completely dead. the door ajar light doesn't come on when i open the door, the dome lights dont come on, the car doesn't do anything if i try to start it. the batterie is charged and everything is just like it was, in top notch shape. when i hook up my jumper box thing, it says i have a reverse polarity somewhere. but i haven't touched anything. would shorted wires do this to me?
also, i had to have a new door handle put in on the passenger side and when the shop got the car back to me the power locks didn't word. could they have shorted something out that would cause my car not to start? i really need some help. i've checked pretty much everything, but tell me what i should check again please.....i miss my car!!!! what would cause the power locks to not work?
any and all help is really apreciated.

thanks,
matt

Yes, definitely contact that shop, and tell them everything you just told us. They've more than likely shorted out something and it's killed your battery, and caused a short.

In the meantime, don't charge it anymore, you'll probably just cause a fire.

If the shop gives you shat and you just need a working car, you're more than likely going to need to remove the door panel on the door that they worked on. If there's nothing obvious, just try unplugging that whole door switch assembly, and see if it'll charge/start after that.
