i put in a cyclone in a non turbo galant gsx. we changed the fuel pump to a vr4 and thats it. it runs but dumps gas out the exhust. the only vacume lines hooked up are the bov and boost controller. ineed info on the feul pressure reg. and the egr look a like by the fuel pressure reg and where the rest of the vacume lines can go from the intake. help please.

there are 2 nipples on the intake manifold

and what about the one i dont use cap it off and what about the egr thingy? is that what controlls the butter fly valves?

Ive done this "swap" a few times its a little more involved than just dropping in the turbo motor.....your talking about the turbo 4g63 right?
well first off the b.o.v. goes to the larger vac port below the fuel rail...
ALL the vac hoses on your t-body need to be blocked off(vac caps)....you dont NEED a egr ive been passing emissions with NO egr/cat/pcv/char cannister.
if it is a turbo motor you put in the reason its "dumping" fuel is your ecu is firing 450cc injectors like they are 230cc...make sense.
your mass should only have 6 wires coming out of it right?
that mass will not read the amount of air you will be pulling thought it correctly you will need to wire in a turbo 8 wire mass(might as well get a 2g) and run 2 wires through the firewall to the new turbo ecu your going to have to get(any 5speed turbo ecu will do)
hope this is what you needed 2 know
Bryan

not at all thanks for trying what i am looking for is the vacume line's on the intake manifold there are 3 one is going to the bov so i have 2 that i dont know where they go the motor is a cyclone from japan it doesent have any emmisions on it. and i have the cyclone esu and harness wires are not a problem except the fuel pressure reg selonid but that can be elimanated if i go from the fpr to the intake but i dont know which one on the intake. and the egr thingy isent a egr valve i dont think it is right next to the coil pace on other modles the egr is below the thorttle body but the thingy whatever it is has a vacume line comming off it and it goes to censers under the intake manifold so i just need to know where to put the fpr line and do i cap off the other one and that egr wannabe what is that? is it a japn egr? i thought japan didnt have emissions? i am dumping fuel because the fpr doesent have a vacume line on it help me please. some that has dont even a turbo to a turbocyclone from japan. you know the normal dsm tsi to a japan cyclone please i am stumped. i even took it to a dsm pro shop elite motorsports and they didnt know. HELP!

You'll run richer with the FPR vacum line off. I am trying to remeber on my cyclone manifold (which I sold) where the intake manifold nipple was. I would just run a vacum line from the FPR to the intake manifold nipple (which ever is closer) and plug the rest of them off with vacum caps. Listen to Bryan, check your MAS. A nonturbo MAS will not work correctly with a turbo motor. As for the butterfly acuator, it was a round plastic diaphram with vacum ports on it, hanging behind the intake manifold on my motor. it has a turbo mas. what about that egr thingy? i hooked up the fpr to the closest port and the catr is slower and runs worse now. it feels like it gets fuel cut every once and awhile and what about the sencers under the intake manifold?

So your ran two wires through your firewall and ran them into the harness? I believe you will have to run another wire from your ECU to the knock sensor. Also I think you need the resistor pack to run the 450cc injectors. You need to put a turbo fuel pump in there too. Here is a thread on a non turbo to turbo swap http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55457&highlight=turbo+swap+parts+list Read all the wiring you must do. Hope that helps.

we got a full wiring harness with the resister packs and the evo3 maf and ecu all the wires are there the fuel pump is done knock senser is there i am missing that egr thingy i feel like i am repeating myself

yes ahh what is that thingy thats right by the coil pack? finally someone with a cyclone

no it has one vac line going to it it is the same color as the fpr and is right next to it. i get the feeling he shoulda bought the whole front clip. because we have no sencers crap. thanks

so you bought an evo 3 swap with harness right?
how did you bolt the motor in?
evo 3s dont bolt in like a dsm/gvr4 4g6....
sounds like a jdm gvr4 motor 2 me.
could you post a pic of what your talking about maybe it ill help seeing it.

look at the link i gave it, it tells you what it is.
look at the picutres in my gallery, it shows a top view of the jdm cyclone enginebay, so you can see how i have it installed

i cant post a pic right now the car is not mine i just did the swap for the kid but i am going back to his town this weekend i will take a pic then and put it on here but i think paxin got all my problems for me. o yea one more thing paxin do you have a wiring diagram because they cut the harness were the maf hooks up so we wired it in and i just talked to jake and he said that his car dont run anymore and the check engine light said maf.

wireing diagram, why do you need it.

did the car have the harness cut or the engine.

the MAF wiring should be the same regardless.

the ONLY difference on a JDM and USDM ecu wiring is for the EGR.
and the Coil pack setup. and the CAS.

there is an USDM ecu pinout diagram on vfaq.com

I dont understand why the MAF wire would be cut. If you just ordered the Engine you should have used all the origional parts. except the jdm engine.

if you have the plug and the harness, you should be able to color match. and just solder up a connection.

write back and explain the wiring situation. thanks.

and where is this car at? what state?

minnesota the car is whoa i need sleep. we got the engine and wireing harness and ecu it went into a non turbo so his old wiring harness was missing alot. but the new harnes was cut where it goes to the maf and w.e else is in that direction. but we color matched and it worked but there were left over wires we were think a/c so we just taped um but now i'm thinking they might be needed there are only about 4 wires we didnt use but the cyclone harness is different than a gsx one we have both and its a gsx maf i cant get to your gallery

knock sensor.
Boost control solenoid

the extra wires in the maf is prob for the boost control solenoid.

get a haynes manual.
