I got a 1996 Talon TSI (FWD) and its starts up ok. And than idle's fine for like a minute and than just turns off by its self. It happened first when the car was running. And second when it was running with turbo timer. any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, I'm saying that the turbo timer has always been installed. But it happeneds when its activated and not activate. I'm saying that when the car is supposed to be running even with the key in it dies in like 30 secs. and when i set the turbo timer to turn off the car for like 1 min. it still turns off before its supposed by its self.

It's obvious that it is your turbo timer, even though you think it is not on. I bet if you take it off, you will find that it won't happen anymore.
