kludge Box, heard of it?

What do you guys know about a "Kludge Box"? From what I've come across, it was a device issued by Mitsubishi for the 1990 dsm's to fix the "hot start" problem. Did this device realy fix the problme? Why was it not made for other years?

Kludge box didn't really work out that well, anyway.
