I just finished installing taking out the balnce shafts and doing the bnerrings, put every thing back to gether and was getting ready to start it up, then I relised I forgot to put the plate back in thats in the oil pan on top. Is this needed? Do I need to rip every thing back apart again?
 
What a bi*** uh??? Well I just went ahead and did it last night, beter safe then sorry, but I would still liked to know how important that plate is and whats its purpose is.
