My car wont start. It was running fine and one day i just went out and it wouldnt start. It doesnt turn or anything, I just hear a click and the whine of the fuel pump. I just replaced the spark plugs so thats fine. I tried to push start it and it just stutters, it wont start from that. I tried to jump it and that wont work either. All the electronics inside the car work, even my stereo and subs. I doubt its the ecu. My brother thinks its the alternator. I bought this car about a month or two ago and the guy said he just replaced the alternator so i dont know whats up. Any help appreciated.

i'm having the same problem try getting a volt meter and test your battery to see what kind of volts you have, depending on what kind of click it is, it might be your starter. You said your radio still plays turn your headlights on and see if they come up, if they do and your battery has atleast over 13 volts it might be your starter

If something is wrong with the starter wouldnt it be able to still start from a push start? Because my car wont even start from a push start.

well the clicking that your talking about sounds like the starter, or a dead battery but if you can still play your stereo then you have juice left. When you tried bump starting it you did have your key forward and tried in 2nd gear and was going fast enough right.

Just charge the battery up and try to start it.(Jump it) If i doesnt start then its most likely you starter.

If it starts and the battery dies after a wile of running then its either the alternator or you battery so i would just replace both :thumb:
