Bad 1g Bov = Stall ??

HeY guys......quick run down....Car idle seems normal to low sometimes like 500 rpm. The thing is when i drive the car normal like on the street shifting at 4ish ( no real boost) the car is fine. When i boost the car then let off gas and go into neutral the RPM's go WAY low...like all the way down to 300 rpm and now if i boost hard and go to neutral it stalls out. Ive checked for blown hoses and all is good. The BOV is not vented and is an uncrushed 1gbov. The thing is the bov seems to be leaking air badly all the time. I hear it whistle. My question is do they go bad?? And if they did go bad is that whats causing my car to not wanna idle after boost? any suggestions would be great because once i fix this i can buy my new turbo. Thanks guys =)

Regarding the whistle, thats just because of something getting clogged in the BOV. Unfortunately i can't remember what it is that gets clogged. Its nothing major, and the whistle is not indicative of any other problems as far as i know. I would suggest searching around, i know that there are places taht document how to get rid of the whistle. thats assuming that a clog is the problem and that theres not somethign else whistling.
 
sounds like classic "rich after boost/venting" but you say you are not venting. The whistle is normal for the 1G bovs, mine would constantly whislte if I held the rpms around 1200.
How long after the instal have you been driving, and you car has been doing this?
 
mine is crushed and re-circed. It whines at low RPM all the time and my car has always come close to dying(sometimes dies) if i go to neutral after high boost/rpms....i learned to shift or keep it in gear until the A/F has settled back to cycle mode.
 
Hey Guys...Im having the same problem right now...when I push the clutch in I lose RPM's and the car dies off. I was venting my BOV before..but have put on a new Injen Intake that recirculates the BOV, so Im no longer venting! I have a Greddy Type-S BOV and so when I was venting I think we turned the dial to the hard side...Do you think if I soften it up this will take care of the problem?
