Exhaust backfire....

I was wondering if anyone else had this promblem or know what the promblem is... I have this wierd backfire poping noise evry once and awhile from the exhaust. my headers have been change and i have double checked all my exhaust pipeing for leakes and evrything seems good...the only thing I see is that the exhaust tip was not welded on all the way and has about a 2 inch small nonseal around the tip.. would that have anything to do with it?

Probably not...its common for cars with larger than stock exhausts to make little popping noises when deaccelerating. I would say its nothing major.

same...my exhaust pops like crazy when i let off gas, then again it might just be from me just having muffler on n/t.

No thats prolly not the problem. My car does the same. I love it. Sounds like a mean machine.

i got a ractive muffler, its nice sounding and loud enough to get me a ticket for it...
