I recently installed an Injen intake system on my 95Tsi, and my last fill up was down to like 14 mpg from around 20. Is this typical?? I can't believe that this happens to everyone, is there anything i can do to get better mileage and keep the intake?I havnt turned up the psi at all or anything, im mainly stock except the few things like Plugs wires and intake. can anyone help me out??

Hmm. Mine also did this when i first put it on. But that was because it was a bad fit and wasnt sealing everwhere. Then afterwards the mileage went up and was still really low, turns out my exhaust manifold cover was causing alot of heat to ramain in the engine bay. Making the engine work harder to go faster since colder/denser air = better mileage/power. I put it back on and the car runs gr8 now :D. Hope i might of helped in some way, or atleast got the thinking process flowing. Good Luck, peace~:dsm:

Have you been _enjoying_ the new setup a fair bit? It doesn't take a lot of throttle runs to bring a DSM's gas mileage to its knees.

Otherwise, unless you've left something disconnected, the Injen shouldn't have much effect on gas mileage.
