Hesitation under partial pedal pressure

The car 97 GST

Mods: 16g (bad first mod I know)
ACT 2600 w/ ACT Flywheel
K&N Filter

The car normally has a 22psi vac when in gear and 16vac at idle when just started up. The hesitation occurs in every gear except first and normally happens between 2-4 rpm. The car can still build boost during this hesitation like normal. The car even did this before the new clutch was put in. I keep throwing a CEL light as well which is a #4 cylinder misfire which I also can't figure out its cause, my hope is that some new spark plug wires will fix this along with some new plugs. I really just want the car to run smooth without this hesitation.

Oh one more thing the car needs a new master clutch cylinder if that helps at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and sorry about my horrible spelling.

u answered your own question man. U said its throwing a #4 cyl misfire CEL. Sumthin is wrong in that cylinder. if it is misfiring, then its not firing properly. Just like the gentleman above me said, best 1st move would to be plugs and wires.

my car did that with no cel and it only did it under boost when the car started to add fuel i got a set of new MITSU wires dont get the aftermarket ones from a local parts store because they come off and have been known to cause FIRES ask anybody that has experienced that. spending a little more on the wires is worth your car not catching fire and get the ngk bpr7es plugs and then tell us how your car runs
